Splendid Hotel & Spa

Room was great. The staff were extremely friendly. Hannah was very helpful. To the cute lady and the gentleman I did catched their name they were a gem.

Our flight was delayed so we arrived late, if someone asleep in reception counts as 24hr desk service then once we woke him up there was no problem. No room key just a door code that probably doesn’t change. Safe in room Other peoples hair left in bed. Floor broken in places. All taps and showers ran yellow intermittently. Sleeping fully clothed type place. Mosquitoes in room on arrival, balcony door didn’t lock and couldn’t find remote for air con. Stained toilet seat It is not a spa - offers massage nearby. Breakfast is not even on site. Scam No idea how this was 9.2 score I fell for it too

This was an amazing stay at Splendid Hotel.. The staffs are all very profesional..and Mr. Jacky the manager was very accommodating in all level.. I will come back here anytime.. Just the best

Really enjoyable stay at the Splendid hotel and spa. Hannah and Kim were so helpful and attentive and went above and beyond. The location couldn't be better, 5 mins from the Lake. The room was spacious enough and a roomy bed. Complimentary coffee and water every day. Would thoroughly recommend!

The location is great with many things to see within walking distance. Hoan Kiem Lake is an ideal starting location, and Train Street and Old Quarter are walkable. The staff at the hotel were helpful and accommodating. Strongly recommend.

It was the werst hotel room ever. Dirty, smelly, dirty bed linen, noisy and tiny. It was so bad that we could not stay there, not even for one night. this hotel should be removed from the hotels.com list. We are trying to get our money back since we did not stay there.

Excellent location, helpful staff. Spoke English well which was a plus. Paid $50 a night and it was good for the price. Room smallish, outdated, bed quite hard. Linen was very clean but well used. Housekeeping good. Bathroom old and small. Overall worked for us. They arranged for airport pickup and drop to our next destination in Vietnam which was so helpful.

I usually don’t like writing negative reviews, but I hope this one will be helpful for people considering booking this hotel. Pros: Great location, very central, next to all the key sights and within walking distance of pretty much everything. All the famous cafes and restaurants are nearby, and I couldn’t recommend this place more. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All the people at the reception were exceptionally nice. They also offer good currency exchange rates, making it easy to exchange money. Although the location is central, the rooms are pretty quiet, and we didn’t hear much noise from the outside. Cons: The room we got was in desperate need of maintenance and cleaning. Pretty much everything was either dirty, broken, or both. The toilet seat and shower head were broken and needed replacing. All upholstery was stained. The room had lots of dust in many places, including corners and the ceiling, clearly indicating poor cleaning standards. The toilet seat had yellow stains, suggesting it was not properly cleaned and is very old. The bedding was damp, and the towels didn’t look like they had been washed well. Some people might argue about what to expect from a 3-star hotel, and I don’t have high expectations, but this comes down to basic hygiene and requires attention.

Huge thank you to Hannah, Flora and Kayn for the customer service that they provided. Hannah was always prompt with her communication and provided a map and details about food/things to do in the area. Wonderful location close to the weekend market, lake, and shopping/food.

Nice let situated in the centre of the city and next to the lake. It’s just the right location to explore the old town by foot. We stayed here three times in our trip and left our cases in between shorter trips away. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. We arranged money exchange, transport and laundry services at a good price. The rooms are clean and tidy and the back rooms are quieter at night although we had a good night sleep every night. The hotel did not have a restaurant but there are plenty of places nearby to get breakfast and other meals. Highly recommended.

This small hotel is in a great location. Clean comfortable and the staff is outstanding. Beds are comfortable and has hot water and air conditioning. Just wished it served breakfast Would stay again

Splendid Hotel and Spa is perfectly located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, a one minute walk from the historic heart of the city, Hoan Kiem Lake. In keeping with most establishments of the Old Quarter, the entrance is modest, but upstairs, the rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped, accessible by elevator. Best of all, the staff was amazing, ready to assist in all aspects of our visit. In particular, the day manager Hannah Le was able to accommodate every request for personalized excursions around northern Vietnam. She, her assistant Hoa, and other members of our staff made us feel like part of their family.
