Windward Passage Hotel

It was just okay. However the only cool thing was that it was close to whatever we happened to be doing each day. They do advertise for breakfast Tuesday-Saturday but nothing was ever out that we saw. They should probably take that sign if thats the case. The staff was nice.

It was good . Close enough to walk around town.

Reception Check in Staff. She was amazing She worked her magic to get our 2 rooms on same floor. Then she delivered a hair dryer to my room

Room was cleaned daily. Ladies in the front desks were all nice and helpful. I had a problem with my toilet, maintenance fixed it while i was out.

City center with benefits like: meal, ferry to other island, hydroplane airport, grocery..., Very good hospitality

We were so lucky to get rooms after all flights were canceled.

Clean rooms, pleasant staff. Especially older day time security and bellman. Unfortunately, hotel does not live up to it's great potential. A large hotel with fabulous possibilities, the best location in Charlotte Amalie,but restaurants, bars,etc are closed. Terrible to see that! They need someone with some imagination, to make it an absolute place to be.

Cold AC!

The building was old, not renovated, but clean. Everyone was helpful but there were things listed on their website that they did not offer. Like free shuttles to Megan Bay.

Enjoyed our stay. clean and comfortable.

Not really a balcony. Also if you are facing the side street, it is very noise during the night

I’ll start my review with the front desk staff, they were very nice and courteous. I can’t take that away from them. However, while staying at the hotel I had my do not disturb sign on my door for my entire stay. Someone went in my room and stole my Versace shades. They have no way of tracking the keycard swipes to know if someone entered my room while I was gone. Once I informed the manager of the situation he informed me that I could make an incident report and that the housekeeping supervisor would talk to the housekeeping staff. At this point I knew I was never going to see my shades again because whoever took them had taken them a day or two prior while I was out. I never wore the shades during my entire stay so they should’ve been in their case. To steal from someone while they’re traveling is low. To enter someone’s room after they place a do not disturb sign on their door is wrong and it should not be tolerated in any way. The hotel advertised that they have a restaurant. They do not. The restaurant is not open so you either have to order food or go to restaurants nearby. I personally will never stay at this property again. Just because they have thieves working there. The location is convenient but peace of mind is most important to me. This was my second trip to St. Thomas. I stayed at margaritaville previously. While it’s more expensive I recommend staying there over windward passage.

In charlotte amalie, can get loud at night - staff is excellent but property is still in a noisy area and facilities are dated

Great place

Bedding was sub par pillows sub par , rooms need an update no ice machine or mini fridge. Security guards were the most helpfull and kind. Restaurant didn’t open till we called someone almost 7:30 and try and serve us cold coffee we left.

Breakfast was supposed to be included, however they didn't offer breakfast 3 of the 4 days of my stay. On the sole that they served breakfast they wanted to charge for and denied service . False advertisement.

The hotel is outdated. The room furniture is very old, you have to flush the toilet at LEAST twice. The ice machine on the 4th floor completely gone just a hole. The pictures online are misleading. The restaurant wasn’t available.
