Radisson Blu Hotel Cardiff

Gentlemen on reception was very helpful, room a good size, shower was fabulous. Nreakfast was very tasty.

Maintenance issues in the room - the Aircon, though turned off, was making loud noises throughout the night... resulting in a very poor night's sleep. The standard of the fittings in the room wasn't good, the table was so stained and marked - it looked like it had been stood outside and used as a garden table.

Wasn’t the cleanest (mainly bathroom, especially extractor), very marked headboard, sheets didn’t really fit the bed, chunk of carpet missing by cupboards, safe broken, faux leather furniture showing a lot of wear, impersonal check out experience, small amount of tea/coffee in room but well rectified by team, poor tv channel selection Wasn’t an unenjoyable experience but wouldn’t be rushing back to stay again

The room was fine but breakfast was a shambles. Hot food not being replenished on a regular basis. Guests waiting up to 20 minutes

Two little complaints: automatic door closer mechanism stopped wardrobe door opening fully and therefore access to drawers in our room. And the lead on the hair dryer was too short to allow us to look in a mirror during its use. But those are just little moans. We had a lovely time, all told. Staff were great and very helpful, breakfast was ample, bed was very comfortable, and the view from the 15th floor was great. Also excellent location for the railway station and for the town centre.

Room neglected. Mix of furniture, stains on the carpet, Check in, shambles. Only one person on the desk, person in front had an issue, took over 20mins to get sorted. Breakfast also poor, cheap produce. Car park a joke, only one way in and one way out, when we arrived2 x cars leaving, it was like a Mexican Standoff. Shambolic

We had a terrible experience at Radisson Blu Cardiff. It was a total disaster from start to finish. Every other guest we spoke to this weekend agreed that it was like a faulty towers experience. When we arrived there was a man complaining that he had moved rooms 3 times and they were all filthy, his wife was crying. The lady who dealt with it was unbelievably rude to him, I later found out her name is Sultana. We checked in, to be fair the room is tired but it was clean enough for us and we had to rush out. The next morning we went for breakfast and there was no food available and loads of disgruntled guests, we actually all ended up laughing at how completely awful it was. We went to reception to get a refund for our breakfast and unfortunately we had to deal with Sultana ourselves. She and her colleague on the front desk were just vile. They made the whole experience needlessly difficult.

The room was definitely in need of updating and not very clean

I booked a king bed, but I got two singles pushed together with a sheet over the top, so that was not comfortable to sleep on. The city view room, faced internally to other parts of the building (although not a deal breaker to be fair), the shower leaked, so I got out of the bath and the floor had water all over it. The room was clean the breakfast was a normal self service English breakfast buffet (food was nice) just the leaking shower and the bed that was a pain for me.

Bed was quite uncomfortable, mattress was really hard and the seam between the two beds pushed together was really uncomfortable. The pillows were like cardboard. The door also didn’t lock easily upon leaving.

Radisson Blu is my go to for work trips to Cardiff however on this occasion the stay was below standards. The room was without an iron board, iron and hairdryer. However the toilet was un flushed I assume from the previous room occupants which should have be addressed by house keeping prior to check in.

the room had a giant stain on the carpet in the middle of the floor that was crusty. there was no plug for the bath. the kettle didn’t work. the bed was extremely uncomfortable and it was clear it was two singles pushed together which made it worse. i was really disappointed at breakfast, the vegan options were really sparse, hardly anything i could eat that wasn’t bread and beans. just expected so much more from somewhere i paid £130 to stay in for one night. really no better than a budget hotel.

Great hotel we were on the top floor amazing views over Cardiff

Room was clean,bed was comfortable pillows not so much. Cleaning staff did not leave any tea bags in the room. Quality of the food for breakfast was good. Car parking was not so good,pillars made it difficult to manoeuvre. Staff were helpful.

Room needs updating, need more basic amenities liks places to hang your coat, the radiator was roasting. There wasnt wnough tea and coffee stuff. Bed was great, view was great. Check in took a long time unnecessarily. Staff werent very amiable.

The hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere. The room was a bit dated, particularly the bathroom (chipped bath and faulty toilet flush). Very comfy beds. Perfectly positioned for Cardiff Central station and the Utility Arena.
