Radisson Blu Hotel Cardiff

Room average but clean and comfortable. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom, but the wall mounted hand wash etc was good. Breakfast plentiful but tasteless. Very adequate but nothing outstanding.

Room fine, bed really comfortable. Staff very pleasant. Breakfast underwhelming and tasteless.

TV disappointing - no OSD. Dining menu very restricted.

Clean room, clean bathroom with plenty of toiletries. Nice large comfortable bed, robes and slippers. Great view and great quiet sleep up on the 19th floor

The room was dirty regarding the bed sheet. I complained but no response till now.

Room was dated and full of curious stains. Staff were generally supportive, but one member on front desk for a busy saturday afternoon led to long queues.

The breakfast was excellent. The rooms could do with more attention to detail with cleanliness.

Overall it was a decent experience. We never felt unsafe or anything like that. The staff were amenable, but never seemed anxious to go above and beyond. The reception, bar area and restaurant were pretty much what you would expect. The room was something else. For those familiar, Motel 6 outclassed the bedroom/living area. The wardrobe is poorly fabricated, but serviceable. The bed headboard obviously had a history, the thermostat had been changed and the prior footprint not repainted, there was a stain on the ceiling reminiscent of a murder mystery. There was also mold in the windowsill, which may be acceptable for such a wet climate, I'm just not used to that. I'm sure the place survives because of its proximity to shopping, restaurants, events and historical sites. In short, this place is TIRED looking.

I used to live in Cardiff, the Raddison was always thought of as a nice hotel so when I had the opportunity to stay on business was excited. The experience from staffing to room quality was terrible - avoid this hotel unless you like ripped and stained furniture, threadbare carpet and staff who are so nonchalant. This is not a 4* hotel, it needs a refurb and reassessment!

Generally a good stay as usual, however on this occasion when dialling for room service was consistently cut off. This happened over a 30 - 49 minute period. So not pleased with that element

I Often stay at the Radisson for work as they are comfy and support business clients with good connectivity, ample desk space in the rooms and a good amount of products in the bathroom to save on luggage space for products such as shampoo. However this experience was dreadful and has made me rethink my loyalty with Radisson. To begin with the WiFi was terrible, to the point where I had to cancel a post work meeting with a client overseas due to the lack of bandwidth on the WiFi and no signal on my mobile, which I appreciate is not the fault of Radisson. The facilities in the bathroom were not kept stocked so I had no cleaning products on the first morning. I understand the room was on the 18th floor but the windows look liked they'd never been washed and the rooms looked dated and in need of a major revamp. I'm due to visit Cardiff again in October but its safe to say I'll be re-thinking my options of accomoddation.

Good Bar, nice lounge. Room was good could have done with two chairs in the bedroom , 8 only one provided.

We stayed here before and so knew what to expect. We missed out on a few things last time as didn’t realise it was included in the room price. If you book and executive room you get access to the executive lounge. Now this is a small area reserved for executive members it includes free nibbles biscuits,fruit during most of the day but it also includes free alcoholic drinks and canapés between 5 and 7pm. This is so nice helping yourself to spirits wine beer and even Prosecco( soft drinks tea and coffee) while having a relaxing view of the city. Staff were lovely room was a little bashed around but on the 21 floor with an amazing view across the city we weren’t complaining. Really lovely hotel if you wasn’t to treat yourself.

Add the breakfast to your stay, it is excellent whether you want a healthy shake, granola and yogurt or full English its all available in price buffet style.

Good hotel and location only one issue rooms were too warm.

Customer service was so terrible

Clean, tidy, spacious. Only thing I would moan about was the carpet was a little grubby. Found the car park a little steep on price considering I have paid this money to stay at the hotel. (£25) various pricing for breakfast look on the expensive side but we did not have one. So I cannot comment. Beds were very comfy and all amenities were available, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Very large TV and WiFi.
