It goes without a doubt, the fact that the country of the Philippines is one of the well-known holiday destinations in the Southeast Asia region. This country has a lot of exciting destinations to offer, among them being Ozamiz or officially, the City of Ozamiz. Also referred simply as Ozamiz City, this 3rd class city has the centre of trade around Misamis Occidental, with a handful of shopping centres that attract visitors around the region and even foreign tourists.
In a similar fashion to any other tropical areas in the Philippines, Ozamiz has wet and dry seasons which are pretty much its major seasons. Rainfall can be heavy during the wet or monsoon season, whereas during the hotter months, the humidity is increased to a high. As such, the best time to visit Ozamiz would be between the months of May, July and August. This is the time when the weather is warmer with occasional showers. In addition to that, the sun shines bright in this period, causing clear skies accompanied with the gently blowing winds that are suitable for outdoor activities. December would almost always be the off-peak season, which is also when you will find flight tickets and hotel deals at reduced prices.
Bohol–Panglao International Airport – Also known as New Bohol International Airport, this airport is the major airport that serves the areas in Bohol province in general as well as the surrounding areas. Its location is in Tawala, Panglao Island, which is about 20 kilometres away from the city centre of Tagbilaran. It is a public airport operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, having its doors open to the public since 2018 so as to replace the older Tagbilaran Airport which had been damaged by the 2013 Bohol earthquake. This newer airport too is capable of catering to the increasing passenger traffic mainly caused by the rise in tourism. One such example is its capability to accommodate larger aircraft like Airbus A330 with a 2,500 meters long asphalt runway. It is clear that the product of joint funding between the Japanese International Cooperation Agency and the government of the Philippines has born fruit. The Bohol–Panglao International Airport mainly serves airlines such as Air Juan, AirSWIFT, Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, Philippines AirAsia and Royal Air Way Charter for flights heading to and from destinations such as Caticlan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Clark, Davao, Dumaguete and Manila.

The airport can be found at Barangay Labo, which is about 12 kilometres away from the city centre of Ozamiz. Operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, it has a mixed asphalt-concrete runway that is 1,900 meters long. Given that it is also the entry point to the city for tourism, it is fairly easy to get access to and from the airport via a handful of public transportation modes.
