Great location for the Christmas markets but rooms are a bit outdated. Tub/shower was difficult to navigate. The room was really hot and we had to open a window all night to stay cool (it was December).

Location was fantastic. Staff treated us like an inconveinance. Rooms were plain and the beds were like dormitory beds. Parking is a nightmare. I recommend parking outside the wall and walking to your hotel. Lovely dining room and lobbies. Food was fine. Breakfast was overpriced.

Nice hotel with a lot of charm and friendly staff located right in the centre of Rothenburg.
Room was cozy and spacious but improvements could me made. Lack of electrical sockets is annoying, especially by the desk, and annoying to have to choose between a bed side lamp or plugging in my phone at night. The place really needs double glazing, they must spend a fortune on heating.
Very noisy through room connecting door, snoring/talking/TV could be heard from next room.
Bathroom functional but dated, replacing the old tub with a modern shower would help a lot.
Breakfast was disappointing. No imagination on choices, too much food drying out under heat lamps. For the €19 paid it should be much better.
Overall very pleasant stay, but more attention to detail could make this place very good.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel!
The room was amazing! They are so dog friendly and provided water bowls and treats. The location is right in the centre of town. The staff is so lovely. The building(s) are historic and beath-taking. The restaurant(s) and different sitting areas are incredible.
If you're staying in town, you will not find a better option.
The town view looks at the beautiful street and old buildings but the garden view is totally worth it as you see out over the valley and wall and is a great choice as well.

We did not have the breakfast as we found the pricing too high, but the room was large and comfortable. One rude staff member at the desk, but also one super helpful one as well. The town is gorgeous and the location of this hotel is fantastic. We did eat lunch here, which was excellent, but u fortunately the beer garden was closed due to the timing of our trip (late Oct). I would definitely come back and recommend this establishment.

The hotel was very classic. Rooms were clean but small.
Most of the front staff were very nice. One was very
inflexible. Check in was 3 pm, not a minute sooner. At 3 pm there was a huge lineup for people to get their room. We also needed some flexibility when it came to breakfast. My husband wasn't feeling goid that morning, so i went down to the front desk at 7 am to let them know we were not able to make breakfast. She was gokng to charge me 80%, which under the circumstances seems a but unfair. She finally relented. The rest of the staff were great.
