Oh my God, I think it's a very comfortable place to rest and staycation. It's close to the prayer room, so my kids can pray in congregation. The restrooms are clean, the rooms smell nice... 100% the best for such a low price.

Swiss-Belinn Cawang Review I stayed at Swiss-Belinn Cawang and had a very satisfying experience. Its strategic location, close to toll road access, the Cawang LRT Station, and easy access to various areas in Jakarta, makes it perfect for business trips or staycations. Check-in was quick, and the hotel staff were very friendly, polite, and ready to assist guests with any needs. My room was clean and comfortable, with a soft bed, cool air conditioning, and stable Wi-Fi. Although the room wasn't particularly large, its functional layout made it a comfortable place to rest. The hotel's facilities are also comprehensive, including a swimming pool, fitness center, ample parking, and a restaurant with a diverse breakfast menu. The food served was delicious and suited to a variety of tastes. Many guests also appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. Overall, Swiss-Belinn Cawang offers good service, adequate facilities, and good value for money. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfortable accommodation in East Jakarta, whether for a business trip or a short vacation.

My second stay here. I returned because of the location, the best price, and the friendly staff. The second time, the cleanliness of the room has been improved. I got a clean room. Check-in was assisted by Mr. Aji, who was very kind, and offered a breakfast promotion. Mr. Bram was also kind and friendly. At the restaurant, I was assisted by Mr. Adit. He was very friendly and patient in explaining the coffee and the deliciousness of his lontong sayur (vegetable rice cake). It seems like this hotel is still a great choice for activities around here. I will definitely return to book this hotel.

One of Vasaka's advantages is its strategic location, close to everything. Other travel amenities are also excellent, close to Whoosh Station, Halim Airport, the terminal, and the train station, and very affordable. The hotel rooms are pretty cool, especially if you book the Vasaka, which feels like home. There's also a relaxing spot overlooking the Cawang intersection, which is definitely stunning at night. Ciracas: A Gateway to Indonesian Experiences Beyond the Usual Tourist Trail

For the discerning Filipino traveller seeking an authentic Indonesian adventure that sidesteps the well-trodden paths, Ciracas emerges as a compelling destination. This vibrant region, located within the broader tapestry of Jakarta, offers a unique blend of local life, burgeoning commercial activity, and accessible natural beauty that appeals to those looking for a more grounded travel experience. Unlike the bustling metropolises or the serene island resorts, Ciracas provides a glimpse into the everyday rhythm of Indonesian urban living, making it an ideal base for exploration and discovery. Its strategic position allows for easy access to both the capital's attractions and quieter, more local pockets of culture.

The true charm of Ciracas lies in its diverse neighbourhoods, each offering a distinct flavour and atmosphere. From the residential tranquility of Susukan and Kelapa Dua Wetan to the more commercial hubs like Ciracas itself and Rambutan, the region presents a varied landscape. Further afield, areas like Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Cawang, and Bidaracina contribute to the rich mosaic, ensuring that no two experiences in Ciracas are quite the same. Understanding these nuances is key to crafting a personalised itinerary, whether you're drawn to the convenience of transport links or the quiet charm of local communities.

From a value perspective, Ciracas presents an attractive proposition for international travellers. With a starting price point around Kampung Rambutan Terminal and KFC Ciracas, and an average nightly rate hovering near ₱ 570.22, it offers significant affordability compared to many global destinations. For travellers from the United States, Europe, or India, this translates into more disposable income for experiences, dining, and shopping. The cost-effectiveness of accommodation and daily expenses in Ciracas allows for a more immersive and extended exploration of Indonesia without breaking the bank.

The accommodation landscape in Ciracas reflects this accessibility, with options ranging from budget-friendly guesthouses to more established hotels. Areas like Rambutan and Kelapa Dua Wetan, for instance, are home to properties that cater to a wide spectrum of travellers. Whether you're a solo adventurer on a tight budget or a family looking for comfortable lodging, you'll find suitable options. Planning your stay is the first step to unlocking the unique offerings of this Indonesian region, and with Traveloka, you can easily book hotel rooms that fit your needs and budget.

Ciracas is particularly well-suited for travellers who appreciate a blend of local culture and modern convenience. From the ubiquitous nasi goreng (fried rice) and mie goreng (fried noodles) to more regional specialties, the food scene here is a vibrant reflection of the nation's diverse gastronomic heritage. For Muslim travellers, finding Halal-certified eateries is generally straightforward, as Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country, with many restaurants proudly displaying their Halal status.

Exploring the local food scene in Ciracas means venturing into its bustling markets and neighbourhood eateries. Areas like Rambutan and the vicinity around Kelapa Dua Wetan are known for their authentic street food stalls and small warungs (local diners) where one can sample dishes like sate (grilled skewers) or gado-gado (vegetable salad with peanut sauce). These informal dining spots offer a genuine taste of Indonesian cuisine at incredibly affordable prices, often much lower than what travellers from the US or Europe might expect.

The cost of dining in Ciracas presents excellent value for international visitors. Street food meals can typically be enjoyed for as little as ₱ 50-100, while a meal at a mid-range local restaurant might range from ₱ 200-400. Even more upscale dining experiences remain accessible, with prices significantly lower than in Western countries. This affordability allows travellers from India, the Philippines, and beyond to indulge in a wide variety of local dishes without straining their travel budget.

When dining in Ciracas, embracing local customs enhances the experience. Tipping is not always expected in smaller eateries, but a small gratuity for excellent service at more formal restaurants is appreciated. It's common to eat with a spoon and fork, with the fork used to push food onto the spoon. Observing meal times, which generally align with Western schedules but can extend later, and showing respect for local dining etiquette will ensure a pleasant and culturally sensitive culinary journey.

Your Journey to Ciracas: Flights, Transport, and Planning

Reaching Ciracas from the Philippines is a straightforward process, with numerous flight options available from major hubs like Manila (NAIA/MNL) and Cebu (CEB). While direct flights to Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) are common, connecting flights through regional hubs might also be an option. Flight durations typically range from 4 to 8 hours, depending on the route and layovers. Booking your book flight in advance can secure better fares, often starting from around ₱ 8,000 to ₱ 15,000 for a round trip, depending on the season and airline.

Once you arrive at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), you have several options to reach Ciracas, which is located in East Jakarta. The most convenient methods include taking a taxi or using ride-sharing services like Grab, which will take approximately 45-90 minutes depending on traffic conditions, with costs ranging from ₱ 300-600. Public transport options are also available, involving a combination of airport buses and local commuter trains or buses, which are more budget-friendly but require more time and navigation.

The best time to visit Ciracas generally aligns with Indonesia's dry season, which typically runs from June to September. During these months, the weather is pleasant with less humidity and rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the region and its surroundings. While this period can be considered peak season, leading to slightly higher accommodation prices, it offers the most comfortable conditions for sightseeing. Essential apps to download include a reliable map application, a translation app, and ride-sharing apps like Grab.

Visa Information

Entering Indonesia for Your Ciracas Visit: Visa Requirements for Filipinos

For Philippine passport holders planning a trip to Indonesia, including the Ciracas region, visa requirements are generally straightforward. As of current regulations, Filipino citizens are typically granted visa-free entry for short stays, usually up to 30 days, for tourism purposes. This allows for a convenient and hassle-free entry into the country. It is crucial, however, to ensure your Philippine passport has at least six months of validity remaining from your date of entry into Indonesia.

The application process for visa-free entry is minimal; you will simply present your valid passport upon arrival at immigration. While no specific fees are associated with this visa-free status for Filipinos, it is always wise to carry proof of onward travel, such as a return flight ticket, and sufficient funds to cover your stay, as immigration officers may request these. The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) also advises travellers to have their passport in good condition and free from damage.

While visa policies can change, it is always recommended for travellers to verify the latest entry requirements with the official immigration authorities of Indonesia or the Indonesian Embassy in the Philippines before booking flights. This proactive step ensures that you are fully prepared and aware of any potential changes or specific documentation needed for your visit to Ciracas, guaranteeing a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.
