We experienced multiple power cuts with no explanation or notification from the hotel staff about why. Not very nice when you're showering or in the bathroom and there are no lights. - There should be emergency lights in the bathroom for this event probably. Asked if there was a microwave available anywhere to heat up some food. (There's no way they don't have one, but they said no). The gym is paid, even when you're paying to stay as a guest in the hotel. This is crazy compared to the standard. If you're a guest, you should be able to access the gym (it's not exactly like a spa where you're getting actual services). The milk sachets provided are disgusting, they make your tea or coffee incredibly bitter. But I suppose it would do in a pinch. The bed also isn't very comfortable and there are no extra pillows in the room already, maybe if you asked they will provide you some, but there are no spares by default. However, the room was clean and room service was good. The provided soap and cream is quite nice considering it's hotel shower gel. Minifridge is useful (but the drinks already in there are charged so don't drink them). Using the fridge is free though. Aircon works well. Decent enough hotel but honestly I would expect a little better for the cost. The power issues with no explanation delayed us getting ready in the morning, taking a chunk out of our day. And access to the gym should be free, it's insane that it isn't.

Our stay at The Hive Hotel Rome was absolutely wonderful. This hotel made our trip to Rome even more memorable thanks to its exceptional service and beautiful atmosphere. The hotel is modern, stylish, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. After spending long, hot days walking through Rome’s historic streets and visiting its incredible landmarks, coming back to our room felt like arriving at another highlight of the city. The rooms were always perfectly clean, wonderfully cool, quiet, and incredibly comfortable—a true oasis after the Roman summer heat. The rooftop breakfast deserves 5+ stars! Every morning felt magical. The terrace offers beautiful views over Rome, especially with the morning sunshine. The breakfast selection was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious Italian dishes, excellent freshly brewed coffee, and attentive, friendly service. The absolute highlight of our stay was Paulina, who took care of us during dinner on the rooftop terrace. She made every evening special with her warm personality, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. We actually stopped looking for restaurants elsewhere because we enjoyed dining there so much. The grilled octopus was one of the best we’ve ever had, the cocktails were fantastic, and every dinner became a memorable experience thanks to Paulina. A heartfelt thank you to Paulina and to the entire management team for creating such an exceptional experience. We truly had an amazing time at The Hive Hotel!

It’s a modern and clean hotel, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooftop restaurant is charming, and the breakfast was delicious with a good selection of quality items. We do wish breakfast had been included in the room rate, though. The location is also very convenient, and the air conditioning made our stay much more comfortable during the hot weather. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily stay here again.

Lovely hotel and big room, however two things were disappointing. I’d booked this hotel as it had a gym. I was not told, nor was it advertised that you have to pay €9 to use the gym. I also booked the hotel as it had a rooftop bar. This was closed as there was a private event on. Disappointing stay as we were only in Rome for one evening and booked this place specifically with these two things in mind.

The hotel was great. The room was very nice, lots of space, nice beds and great air conditioning. It was super close to walk to the train station with luggage, near lots of fun little shopping/dining street and easily walkable to the colosseum. Also close to some other highlights like the trevi fountain and Spanish steps. About a 20 min walk one way, which is Greta for Rome. I would definitely stay here again.
