The Hive Hotel

This was my 2nd time staying at The Hive Hotel. The 1st was only for an extended layover so I didnt get a good idea of the hotel. This time was a much longer trip in Rome (7 nights) so I can speak to my experience more honestly and completely. The Hive Hotel is a nice hotel. The room was spacious, clean and esthetically pleasing. The staff was nice and helpful. There are a couple things that I feel Hive can improve on. 1st being the shower. The showers are angled weirdly so there isn't alot of movement happening in the shower. There was a lightweight worn shower curtain keeping water from going all over the bathroom floor. With the heat/air/cross-breeze blowing in the bathroom, the shower curtain blows into the shower and on you. Hive could benefit from a more weighted shower curtain and switch the curtains out more frequently. Secondly, the bathroom smelled horrible after a while. Not sure if this was because of the toilet or the bidet but it smelled like sewage in the bathroom and never went away. Lastly, the towel warmer didn't work the entire time I was there. It would be nice to have had this feature being that I brought my own face cloths (they don't have them) and needed to dry them before leaving.

Rooms were spotless, Front desk very helpful and guide accurately. Bell desk personal very helpful. Overall great experience

They surprise me with Early check in . The hotel Clean and well maintained, great staff every where.

The room was clean and modern.

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was WiFi connection and no ability to stream tv and movies so you’re stuck watching Italian tv - not ideal for travelers who don’t speak Italian.

Large, clean and modern rooms, helpful and polite staff, neat and tidy hotel!

Clean and spacious room with all amenities. We had a wonderful stay at The Hive. The staff was helpful, attentive and always ready to help. The property is close to public transport and within walking distance to several attractions. Close to restaurants and bars

The hotel & location was great, however on our 1st night we were woken at 1.30am by extremely loud construction noise which lasted several hours. I sent a message regarding this to the hotel but had no response or explanation which was disappointing

Very clean good staff buy It's a 4-star hotel, not cheap, but you have to pay extra for the gym and pool.

Clean room. Helpful staff. Almost impossible to figure out how to turn the lights on and off.

The hotel was comfortable and clean and in a great location for sightseeing on foot. However, I booked the hotel based on the amenities - including a gym and hot tub - only to find out that these were only accessible at an additional charge (per day, per person).

Omar at the front desk was incredibly helpful and patient asv well as the rest of the staff! The A/C was great! We learned we need to leave the card in the slot inside the room for the A/C to be running. The room was clean and very quiet. I never heard surrounding noises. I highly recommend!

Rooms were clean, showers were hot, the location was perfect, and beds were comfortable!
