Great location and very near Odori Park. But I think the highlight for me was the Breakfast Buffet. Probably one of the best breakfast buffets in Japan. I loved the eggs benedict with smoked salmon and the katsu burger. The best. Will definitely book this hotel again.

Location was great, especially the airport bus limo stop right in front of the hotel. In addition, close to love sign Shinjuku where usually meeting point for local tour. Lots of affordable restaurants at B1 floor. Surprisingly, it connects to the underground subway, so when it rains, you have no worries.

The staffs are friendly and very helpful. They upgraded our room to a cozy and comfort room for our family. The room was very clean and equipped with coffee machine, water heater, microwave, hairdryer, and also washing machine. The front desk also helped us to send our luggages to our hotel in Tokyo. They even contacted our hotel in Tokyo to confirm our booking before sending our luggage to Tokyo. There's also a convenience store across the hotel. Arigato gozaimashita Mercure 😊

More about hotels in Japan

Why Book the Best Hotels in Japan?

Japan is a dream destination for many, offering a unique blend of ancient traditions and modern marvels. From the bustling streets of Tokyo to the serene temples of Kyoto, there's something for everyone. Staying in one of the best hotels in Japan elevates your travel experience, providing a comfortable and convenient base to explore all that this fascinating country has to offer. Popular hotels in Japan are strategically located, offering easy access to key attractions, efficient public transportation, and a wide range of services to cater to your needs. Whether you're traveling for business, leisure, or a family vacation, choosing the right hotel ensures a stress-free and memorable trip. The best hotels in Japan offer exceptional value for money, combining comfort, convenience, and top-notch service.

Popular Areas to Stay in Japan

When deciding where to stay in Japan, consider the type of experience you're seeking. Tokyo's Shinjuku area is a vibrant hub with towering skyscrapers, bustling nightlife, and excellent shopping. It's perfect for business travelers and those who enjoy a fast-paced environment. For a more traditional experience, Kyoto's Gion district offers charming streets, geisha encounters, and proximity to historic temples. Families might prefer the Ueno area in Tokyo, known for its parks, museums, and family-friendly attractions. If you're looking for luxury, consider staying in the Ginza district of Tokyo, home to high-end boutiques and some of the best hotels in Japan. No matter your preference, you'll find popular hotels in Japan near major attractions and city centers, making it easy to explore and enjoy your trip.

Tips for Choosing the Best Hotels in Japan

  • Check guest reviews and ratings for quality assurance: Before booking, read what other travelers have to say about their experiences. Pay attention to comments about cleanliness, service, and location.
  • Look for hotels with amenities such as pools, spas, or fitness centers: If you value relaxation or staying active during your trip, choose a hotel that offers these amenities.
  • Consider proximity to landmarks, public transportation, and airports: A well-located hotel can save you time and money on transportation. Look for hotels near train stations or major attractions.
  • Compare prices across different booking dates to find the best deals: Hotel prices can fluctuate depending on the season and demand. Be flexible with your travel dates to find the most affordable hotels in Japan.

Best Time to Visit Japan

The best time to visit Japan depends on your preferences. Spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) are peak seasons, known for their pleasant weather and stunning natural beauty. Cherry blossoms in spring and colorful foliage in autumn attract large crowds, so book your accommodations well in advance. Summer (June-August) can be hot and humid, but it's also a time for festivals and outdoor activities. Winter (December-February) offers opportunities for skiing and snowboarding, especially in the northern regions. Traveling during the shoulder seasons (late spring or early autumn) can offer a balance of good weather and fewer crowds, allowing you to enjoy the best hotel experiences with more space and potentially better deals.

Getting Around Japan

Japan has an excellent public transportation system, making it easy to get around. The Shinkansen (bullet train) is a fast and efficient way to travel between cities. Within cities, trains and subways are the most convenient options. Many areas are also pedestrian-friendly, allowing you to explore on foot. Staying in popular hotels in Japan often means you'll be close to train stations and bus stops, making it easy to access different parts of the country. Consider purchasing a Japan Rail Pass if you plan to travel extensively by train. Walking is a great way to experience the local culture and discover hidden gems, so choose a hotel in a walkable neighborhood to make the most of your trip.
