Wrong Room Number Given on Key Card: Upon check-in, I was assigned Room #1914, but the front desk wrote the wrong number #1913 on my key card. As a result, I was unable to access the room and instead tried to open another guest’s room #1913. To my great embarrassment, that guest opened the door, thinking someone was attempting to enter. Room Key Cards Stopped Working: Aug 13, when we got back to hotel at night, both room keys suddenly stopped working. I had to travel from the 19th floor to the ground floor to get them replaced. The front desk issued new keys, but they still failed. I then had to call for help and wait for staff to come up and fix the lock before I could re-enter my room. As of today, there has been no response from the Holiday Villa Management after repeated attempts.

Hotel is not bike friendly. The only carpark for bikes is at a road side below the hotel. If you want to park at the hotel, you need to pay 20rm per day! Means if u stay for 3 days, u need to pay 60rm!! That's even more expensive than a car and heck car can park for free if u stay there. I was constantly worried about my bike the whole stay and there's 1 time it was shifted by someone. Felt really unsafe. The toilet does not drain properly. The shower is in the bathtub and it was slippery to get down frm it and the floor right beside the bathtub pooled water. The toiletries like body soap, shampoo and conditioner was too little. Need to ask for more. The wardrobe doors was unable to open close properly. The lighting for the room was good with natural light but at night it was too dimmed. Not enough lighting. Other than that, the cleanliness was good and the breakfast spread was up to standard. They had an infinity pool with a view which is nice.

Holiday Villa Johor Bahru was situated at a good location, whereby just across the street is the KSL mall and also along the road there are a few eateries and massage shops throughout the day🙂🙂🙂. Room and facilities at the hotel are spacious and clean. Not to forget to the housekeeper who clean the Room 1228 for the period 27th July to 28th July 2025. Thank you for all the staffs who make the stay here a pleasant trip😘😘😘. We will be coming back here again whenever we coming in to Johor. Breakfast buffet was quite standard and I like the ambience and the varieties of foods that was available. Good job to the management and to all staffs at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru👍👍👍

The hotel is in dire need of a major refurbishment. Beyond the physical state, the check-in process was horrendous and significantly detracted from the guest experience before we even reached our room. Upon arrival, staff were observed scrambling to locate the credit card machine for deposits, repeatedly going in and out of the backroom to photocopy passports, and there was a complete lack of a proper queuing system. This disorganization led to a 25-minute check-in time, exacerbated by guests bypassing the line and approaching other counters, and slow service from the staff. My deepest sympathy goes to one particular trainee staff member who was left unattended at the first counter, handling a long queue with no assistance. Guests were seen bypassing her entirely to go to other counters, highlighting the severity of the understaffing and inadequate training support.

My only choice of hotel stay in JB is here. Have been here a few times. Only the recent stay the room is not very clean in the bathroom with stains n dust. The safe is spoilt too. Probably there were many groups event here staying so I was given a lower choice room. Breakfast quality can be improved.

Location was most convenient. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The only flaw we noticed was the way water gets trapped between the bathtub and the glass panel. There is no way to drain the water and it accumulates around the edge of the bathtub and overflows onto the bathroom flooring which makes it very slippery. The bathroom floor towel is soggy and messy and adds to the discomfort of the toilet.
