The property was updated, and the rooms were large and comfortable. The pool and beach access were great! My only issue was that later in the week, the resort was very crowded, and it was difficult to get a chair by the pool.

This was my second time staying at JW Marriott Cancun, and once again, it was an exceptional experience. The service remains outstanding—warm, attentive, and consistent across every touchpoint. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, with breathtaking ocean views that make the stay even more special. From the relaxing poolside atmosphere to the excellent dining options, everything was perfectly executed. It’s a place I would happily return to again and again!

Things I liked:
Very safe. Well kept grounds. Stay was very nice. Their breakfast buffet is good, they can it continental but it's not, it's actually a full breakfast buffet which was great. They have great onsite shopping.
Ways to improve:
They don't manage the pools well. People leave their towels on the lounge chairs for 10 hours without coming back and the staff do nothing to make them available to people who want/need them. One simple pinacollata is 16$ usd. The food was very expensive, much more than got the same in the United States. 150 usd for 2 people was average bill at onsite restraunts. House keeping cleaned our room 4 out of 7 days. 1 day the elevators didn't work (we were on 7th floor). One day they shut off the water all afternoon. The hot tubs are not very warm.
Overall it's very nice, but much more money than even the average resort in the US in terms of cost. They have good food options. Staff are friendly, but there is a lot of improvement needed in terms of them actually doing their jobs and attention to detail.
