Location: Perfect. Because it's near Burnham Park, Good Taste restaurant, Foam Coffee, Harrison Street, Baguio Night Market, Session Road, Vizco's, Baguio Cathedral, sm baguio. Also, beside it, is a grocery store.💯. Food: Perfect. Because you can get as much as what you can consume. They served garlic rice, steamed rice, scrambled eggs, dried fish, hotdogs, pork steak, breads and jams, coffee, juice, salad and fruits.💯. Room: Good. Because I'm not sure if other parts of the room is clean. But definitely the bathroom needs to be scrubbed. The AC unit was loud from time to time. And, there's no room slippers provided. Also, they need to change their old towels, and their busted lights as well. Good thing their bed linens and comforters are clean. Staffs: Perfect. (Even if my request was not followed.) Front desk ladies were kind and accommodating. Every staff we see greets us politely.💯. Thank you, Hotel Veniz Burnham!

Baguio City Proper: The Philippines' Summer Capital for the Global Explorer

Baguio City Proper, often hailed as the Philippines' Summer Capital, offers a refreshing escape from the tropical heat, presenting a unique allure for international travellers. Unlike the bustling metropolises or pristine beaches that define much of the archipelago, Baguio provides a distinct cool-climate experience, reminiscent of mountain retreats found in other parts of the world. Its pine-scented air, verdant landscapes, and a rich cultural tapestry woven from indigenous traditions and colonial influences create an atmosphere that is both invigorating and deeply engaging. For those seeking a different facet of the Philippines, one that balances natural beauty with a touch of urban sophistication, Baguio City Proper stands out as a compelling destination.

The city's character is not monolithic; it unfolds across a mosaic of distinct neighbourhoods, each offering a unique flavour to the visitor. From the residential tranquility of Irisan and Greenwater Village to the vibrant commercial pulse of Legarda-Burnham-Kisad and the historical resonance of the Rizal Monument Area, Baguio City Proper invites exploration. Areas like Asin Road offer a more laid-back, artistic vibe, while Lourdes Subdivision and General Emilio F. Aguinaldo (Quirino-Magsaysay, General Luna) provide glimpses into local life. Understanding these varied districts is key to crafting an itinerary that truly captures the essence of Baguio, allowing travellers to tailor their stay to their preferences, whether for relaxation, adventure, or cultural immersion.

For international visitors, Baguio City Proper presents an exceptional value proposition. With average nightly rates that can be significantly lower than comparable destinations in North America, Europe, or even parts of Asia, it offers an accessible gateway to a rich cultural experience without a prohibitive price tag. While specific hotel prices vary, the overall cost of accommodation, dining, and activities in Baguio City Proper remains attractive. This affordability allows travellers from diverse economic backgrounds, including those from the United States, Europe, India, and Africa, to enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay, making it a smart choice for budget-conscious yet discerning globetrotters.

The accommodation landscape in Baguio City Proper mirrors its diverse appeal, offering options that cater to a wide spectrum of preferences and budgets. For instance, Elizabeth's Fantasy Resort, a 2-star property in Irisan, provides a unique stay with its array of amenities, while the 5-star Entire Apartment Baguio City CS PINES Dahlia Unit in the same district offers a more luxurious, apartment-style experience. These examples highlight the range available, from charming, value-driven stays to more upscale residences. Travellers can easily book hotel accommodations that suit their needs, ensuring a comfortable base for exploring all that Baguio City Proper has to offer.

Ultimately, Baguio City Proper is a destination that resonates with a broad international audience. American travellers might appreciate the cooler climate and the blend of natural scenery with accessible urban amenities. European visitors often find themselves drawn to the city's historical sites and the opportunity to experience Filipino culture firsthand. For Indian travellers, the relatively affordable prices, good connectivity within the Philippines, and the diverse culinary scene make it an appealing choice. While direct travel links from Africa might be less common, Baguio City Proper offers a unique cultural exchange and a refreshing climate that can be a welcome contrast to many African destinations, making it a worthwhile consideration for any adventurous spirit.
