We always enjoy our stay at Seda Makati. It's very near the Skyway Buendia Exit, so it's convenient to travel from outside Manila to the hotel and vice versa. The location is great because there are restaurants, convenience stores, and drug stores nearby. Rooms are quiet, and beds are very comfortable; that's why we love coming back here. If you need food delivered, you can meet up with the delivery service at the ground floor lobby.

The room was clean and the CR had hot & cold shower. The AC and ref were working perfectly fine. You can have your breakfast served in your room or in the resto, Mrs. V, which is stylish and had good food. The location was great with a 7/11 nearby. However, our TV was not working but we didn't mind because their wifi connection was fast so we just used our phones instead. Overall, we had a good stay. The staff were all polite and was quick to respond.

I stayed here for a night, but I can definitely stay here longer! The location is very convenient and accessible, took about 15-20 minutes from Naia terminal 3. The room is fully equipped, a home away from home type. The receptionist Sara/Sarah is not just beautiful but very friendly, helpful and calm. The building has 711, Pan De Manila, Spa/Salon and Photocopy shop on its front part. There are many restaurants and coffee shops around. The price is really inexpensive for such a great accommodation. Totally recommended and looking forward to be back😊👍

More about hotels in Legazpi Village

San Lorenzo: A Dynamic Hub for the Discerning Global Traveller

San Lorenzo, a vibrant district within the bustling metropolis of the Philippines, offers a compelling blend of urban sophistication and accessible charm that appeals to a diverse international clientele. Unlike the more laid-back island destinations or the historical depth of other Philippine cities, San Lorenzo presents a concentrated experience of modern Filipino life, business, and leisure. It’s a place where global connectivity meets local flavour, providing a unique entry point for travellers seeking to understand the dynamic pulse of the nation. Here, the energy of a major economic centre is palpable, yet it’s tempered by pockets of tranquility and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel approachable for those new to the region.

The district's internal geography is as varied as its offerings, with distinct neighbourhoods shaping the visitor experience. Legazpi Village, for instance, stands as a reflection of San Lorenzo's status as a premier business and residential hub, characterized by its sleek skyscrapers, upscale dining, and proximity to key commercial centres. This contrasts with other areas that might offer a more residential feel or a different pace of life. Understanding these nuances is crucial; choosing to stay in Legazpi Village means being at the heart of the action, while exploring other parts of San Lorenzo might reveal different facets of its character, from quieter enclaves to areas with a more local, everyday feel.

For the international traveller, San Lorenzo presents an exceptional value proposition. With an average starting price of around ₱ 680.71 per night and an impressive overall review score of 8.1 from over 8,619 reviews, the district offers a high standard of accommodation and services at rates that are highly competitive on the global stage. This affordability, coupled with the quality of offerings, makes San Lorenzo an attractive destination for travellers from the United States, Europe, and India, who can enjoy a rich travel experience without the prohibitive costs often associated with major international cities.

The accommodation landscape in San Lorenzo is robust and varied, catering to every preference and budget. For example, The Mini Suites Eton Tower Makati provides a comfortable and well-regarded 3-star option in Legazpi Village, offering a solid base for exploration. Similarly, Citadines Benavidez Makati, a 4-star establishment, elevates the stay with its superior amenities and service, reflecting the district's capacity to host discerning guests. These properties, among many others, are readily available to book hotel stays, ensuring that travellers can find the perfect fit for their needs.

San Lorenzo is a destination that truly caters to a global audience. For American travellers, it offers a gateway to Southeast Asian dynamism with familiar comforts. European visitors will appreciate the cultural nuances and the blend of modern and traditional Filipino life. Indian travellers will find excellent connectivity, a diverse culinary scene, and excellent value for money, making it an accessible and enjoyable destination. While direct connections might be less common, African travellers can also find San Lorenzo a worthwhile stopover or destination, particularly for business or as part of a broader Asian itinerary, benefiting from the region's growing international links.

Best Areas to Stay in San Lorenzo

San Lorenzo, while a district within a larger metropolis, boasts a distinct character across its various neighbourhoods, each offering a unique flavour for international visitors. Understanding these differences is key to crafting an ideal stay, whether you prioritize proximity to business hubs, a vibrant nightlife, or a more tranquil residential atmosphere. Choosing the right base within San Lorenzo can significantly shape your overall experience, influencing everything from your daily commute to your evening dining options and the ease with which you can explore the city's many attractions.

Legazpi Village

Legazpi Village is the undisputed heart of San Lorenzo's cosmopolitan appeal, a district that resonates with the energy of a global business and lifestyle centre. For international travellers, particularly those from North America and Europe, its polished streets, modern architecture, and concentration of upscale amenities will feel familiar and reassuring. This is where you'll find many of the city's premier corporate offices, high-end residences, and a sophisticated dining scene, making it an ideal base for business travellers or those who appreciate being at the epicentre of urban activity.

Staying in Legazpi Village places you within easy reach of key landmarks like the Makati Medical Center and the Ayala North Exchange Basement Parking, facilitating both medical needs and convenient transport. The area is a nexus for exploring San Lorenzo's diverse offerings, with numerous restaurants, cafes, and shops lining its streets. Getting to Legazpi Village from the international airport is straightforward, typically a 30-45 minute taxi or ride-sharing service ride, depending on traffic, allowing you to quickly settle in and begin to book attractions that showcase the best of the Philippines.

Salcedo Village

Adjacent to Legazpi Village, Salcedo Village offers a slightly different, yet equally dynamic, urban experience. It’s a district that successfully balances its role as a commercial hub with a more relaxed, community-oriented vibe, particularly evident during its popular weekend market. This area tends to attract a mix of business professionals and expatriates who appreciate its blend of convenience and a slightly more laid-back atmosphere compared to its more intensely commercial neighbour. Travellers seeking a well-rounded urban experience with access to both work and leisure amenities will find Salcedo Village appealing. Use Traveloka to book attractions — book attractions. Use Traveloka to book your hotel — book hotel.

Salcedo Village is renowned for its vibrant weekend market, a worth visiting for foodies and shoppers alike, offering a taste of local delicacies and artisanal products. The village also boasts a good selection of restaurants and cafes, catering to diverse palates. Its convenient location means that attractions within San Lorenzo and beyond are easily accessible, with public transport options readily available. For those arriving by air, a taxi or ride-sharing service from the airport will take approximately 30-45 minutes, positioning you perfectly to explore the area’s unique offerings.

Bel-Air Village

Bel-Air Village presents a more residential and exclusive side of San Lorenzo, offering a tranquil escape from the immediate bustle of the commercial districts. This is a neighbourhood characterized by tree-lined streets, well-maintained homes, and a sense of community that appeals to international visitors seeking a quieter, more local living experience. While it may not have the same density of tourist attractions as Legazpi or Salcedo, its charm lies in its peaceful ambiance and its proximity to the amenities of the surrounding areas, making it suitable for longer stays or for those who prefer a serene home base.

While Bel-Air Village itself is primarily residential, its residents benefit from easy access to the dining, shopping, and entertainment options found in neighbouring villages like Salcedo and Legazpi. It offers a glimpse into a more established urban Filipino lifestyle. For day trips or exploring further afield, its central location within San Lorenzo provides good connectivity. Travel from the airport to Bel-Air Village typically takes around 30-45 minutes by car, allowing for a smooth transition into this more serene part of the district.

Poblacion (Makati City)

Though technically a neighbourhood within Makati City that borders San Lorenzo, Poblacion has emerged as a vibrant and eclectic district that draws significant international attention for its burgeoning arts, culture, and nightlife scene. It’s a place where old-world charm meets modern bohemian flair, attracting a younger, more adventurous crowd of travellers, artists, and digital nomads. For those looking for an authentic, slightly gritty, and incredibly lively experience, Poblacion offers a stark contrast to the polished business districts and is a popular choice for those seeking a more immersive cultural dive.

Poblacion is a rich collection of unique bars, independent art galleries, and diverse culinary establishments, from traditional Filipino eateries to international fusion cuisine. Its nightlife is legendary, offering a more local and less commercialized experience than some other entertainment districts. While it might not be directly adjacent to landmarks like Makati Medical Center, its central location within Makati makes it accessible. Getting to Poblacion from the airport typically takes 30-45 minutes, and from here, you can easily access other parts of San Lorenzo and explore the many book attractions available in the wider city.

San Lorenzo Village (Residential Area)

San Lorenzo Village itself, distinct from the broader district of San Lorenzo, is a well-established residential enclave known for its spacious properties and quiet, tree-lined avenues. This area offers a more exclusive and private living experience, appealing to international visitors who seek a high degree of comfort and security, often families or those on longer business assignments. It provides a sense of community and a more traditional suburban feel within the urban landscape, offering a peaceful retreat while still being connected to the city's amenities.

While San Lorenzo Village is primarily residential, its residents have convenient access to the commercial centres and amenities of neighbouring districts like Legazpi and Salcedo. This means that dining, shopping, and entertainment options are never far away. The area is well-connected by road, making travel to other parts of San Lorenzo and beyond relatively easy, though public transport might be less direct than in the commercial hubs. The journey from the airport to San Lorenzo Village typically takes around 30-45 minutes, offering a smooth arrival into this serene residential pocket.

The dining scene in San Lorenzo is as diverse as its population, with numerous establishments catering to every taste and budget. Legazpi Village, in particular, is a hub for upscale restaurants and international cuisine, while nearby areas like Salcedo Village are known for their vibrant weekend markets where local food vendors offer a wide array of Filipino delicacies. For Muslim travellers, finding Halal-certified eateries might require a bit more research, but many restaurants are increasingly accommodating, and dedicated Halal establishments can be found within the wider Makati area, ensuring a comfortable dining experience for all visitors.

When it comes to pricing, San Lorenzo offers excellent value for international travellers. A hearty meal from a local eatery or food stall can cost as little as $3-5 USD, providing an affordable way to sample authentic flavours. Mid-range restaurants typically offer a full dining experience for $10-20 USD per person, while upscale dining can range from $30 USD upwards. This pricing structure is highly competitive compared to major cities in the US, Europe, or even other parts of Asia, allowing travellers to indulge in a rich culinary journey without significant financial strain.

Tipping is appreciated but not always mandatory; a service charge is often included in the bill at higher-end establishments, but a small additional tip of 5-10% for exceptional service is customary. Meal times are generally similar to Western schedules, with lunch typically between 12 PM and 2 PM and dinner from 7 PM onwards. Embracing the local custom of sharing dishes is a great way to experience a variety of flavours and foster a sense of camaraderie during your meal.

Cultural Norms and Staying Safe in San Lorenzo

Understanding local customs and etiquette is key to a respectful and enjoyable visit to San Lorenzo. Filipinos are known for their warmth and hospitality, often characterized by a polite and indirect communication style. It's considered polite to use "po" and "opo" when addressing elders or those in positions of authority, signifying respect. While casual attire is common, dressing modestly when visiting religious sites or more traditional areas is advisable. Public displays of affection are generally kept subtle, and it's always good practice to be mindful of your surroundings and avoid overly loud behaviour in public spaces.

When visiting prominent landmarks like the Makati Medical Center or the Ayala North Exchange Basement Parking, maintaining a respectful demeanor is important. While these are functional locations, they are also places where people seek care or conduct business. Dress codes are generally smart casual, and photography might be restricted in certain areas, especially within medical facilities. Queuing culture is present, and patience is appreciated. Being aware of these subtle social cues will help you navigate these spaces with ease and demonstrate consideration for local norms and the purpose of these establishments.

San Lorenzo, being a well-developed district, is generally safe for international travellers, but standard precautions should always be taken. Keep your valuables secure and be aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded areas. For transportation, reputable ride-hailing apps like Grab are widely available and offer a convenient and relatively safe way to get around. Taxis are also an option, but it's advisable to ensure the meter is used. Having offline maps and essential contact numbers readily accessible on your phone can be invaluable for navigating the city and in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

In terms of emergencies, knowing the local contacts is crucial. The general emergency number in the Philippines is 911. For specific needs, local police hotlines can be found through a quick online search. For Filipino travellers, understanding the role of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) can be beneficial for any travel-related concerns or assistance. It is always recommended to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and other unforeseen events, ensuring peace of mind throughout your trip to San Lorenzo.

Getting to San Lorenzo and Getting Around

Flight durations vary, but typically range from 1 to 2 hours for domestic connections. Upon arrival at NAIA, the journey to San Lorenzo, particularly to areas like Legazpi Village, usually takes between 30 to 45 minutes by taxi or ride-sharing service, depending on traffic conditions. The best time to visit San Lorenzo generally aligns with the Philippines's dry season, which typically runs from November to April. Visa Information

For Philippine passport holders planning to visit San Lorenzo, which is located within the Philippines, the visa requirements are straightforward as no international travel is involved. Philippine citizens can travel freely within their own country without the need for a visa. However, it is essential to carry a valid government-issued identification card, such as a passport or driver's license, for identification purposes, especially when checking into hotels or accessing certain facilities. Ensure your passport is not expired, as it is the primary form of identification accepted nationwide.

When travelling domestically within the Philippines to San Lorenzo, there are no specific visa application processes or fees to consider for Philippine citizens. The primary requirement is a valid form of identification. Proof of onward travel or hotel bookings might be requested by accommodation providers for check-in purposes, but these are standard procedures for lodging rather than immigration requirements. While domestic travel within the Philippines does not involve visa complexities for Filipino citizens, it is always prudent to stay informed about any potential travel advisories or specific local regulations that might be in place.
