We wanted to stay in Old Town or Chiado and loved 9Hotel Mercy. The rooms are modern, clean, while appointed. The breakfast bar is really really good. The staff are the star point, they are so friendly and helpful. Who will definitely stay there again if I have the chance. LA

I really liked this hotel. It had everything I needed and was excellent for the price. Room was impeccably clean and there was a really nice shower. Bed was comfortable. The only disappointing thing was that the rooftop bar was not open. Solid 4 star hotel option for a great price.

We had to leave the hotel within 10 minutes of checking in and had to book a new stay elsewhere. This hotel was very dirty and is not suitable for families. The room next to ours was performing loud ‘adult’ acts. The room itself was horrible. There was mold, holes in the wall, and it looked unclean. I do not understand how this hotel is considered 4 stars. I would investigate some of the reviews because I believe the positive reviews are fake. I have stayed in hostels in Lisbon that were cleaner and I felt safer at.

Very modern rooms and dining area but with dim lighting. Bed was comfortable but was slightly sunken. Probably should rotate the mattress or upgrade to a new one. Very clean. Friendly staff. Small rooftop bar with great views

We stayed in room 509, which was a very cosy room. Unfortunately we had issues with the ac as we could not switch it on or control from our room and had to call reception each evening, which was a nuisance. Also the bath area was in poor condition and not useable ( the shower worked, but tap to fill bath did not, and no plug, so could not use). Also the glass panel was not wide enough so when having a shower the water soaked the bathroom floor. We had the option to change rooms, but had to settle for a room with shower only, as another room with working bath had a very loud ac, so we sacrifice a good soak/bath for a good nights sleep instead. On a positive the room was clean ( good housekeeping team) and the water pressure for the shower was very good. Location of the hotel although on a slight slope was very convenient to major spots in Lisbon, and lots of excellent bakeries within a few minutes walk away. If the maintenance of the rooms are kept to a high standard ( unlike our recent visit) we would consider this hotel on our future visits to Lisboa.

Great location and a very nice staff who were kind enough to lend us umbrellas for a rainy day of touring. We enjoyed two lovely breakfasts and the rooftop bar service was excellent as well and the rooftop view was very nice.

Just a d- hotel. Supposed to have 2 twin beds which we didnt get and they would not rectify. Hallways are dark. No amenities. No anything. Could have stayed at a hostel

Unable to switch on air con in our room. Had to ask reception to do this for us. Both the toilet and bathroom doors did not close properly. Minor things but a bit annoying. The hotel was nice and in a good location.

This hotel is in a great location, and has a great, modern feel to it in the lobby and rooftop bar. The view from the 6th floor suite patio is nice. We had the suite and it was really disappointing, especially for what we paid. The room felt dirty, musty, and had several issues upon arrival. The biggest thing is the air conditioning makes a loud noise that will not go away and made it hard to sleep at night. The wall cover to flush the toilet was falling off and even though someone came to “fix” it, it kept coming off. The shower didn’t drain well so there was water every where every time we showered, and the temperature would switch to scalding hot without notice so that made it uncomfortable to shower. The room itself had stains on the furniture and curtains and just didn’t feel very clean. My toddler dropped a toy under the bed and it was covered in dust. We didn’t use the bathtub in the room at all because it was stained and felt dirty. The suite being on the 6th floor meant you were listening to music from the rooftop bar until well after 11 pm. The walls are zero sound proof and you can hear everything in the room from the hallway and near the elevator. The staff were not very friendly and came to check on our issues and didn’t resolve any of it, nor did they seem to care. For what we paid, we were expecting a lot more than what this hotel offered, and I can’t say I would recommend this place to anyone I know.
