We enjoyed our stay.
Yes, the Hotel Eclat is definitely eclectic. The sculptures at the front of the hotel and in the lobby are a curiosity. The rooms are quite nice. There is extra attention to detail in the cabinetry and lighting. And some high tech as well, with the TV, sound system and TOTO toilet. There were a couple of features that were interesting elements of design but could have been more practical. There was no shower door, so we had to be vigilant to not allow water to splash into the bathroom. And the clock … just a little hard to tell the time!
We found the staff at the front desk and in the lobby to be excellent. They are definitely pleasant and accommodating to our needs.

The hotel is beautifully decorated with art pieces and sculptures from various artists. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Its location is excellent, within walking distance of Taipei 101 and many great restaurants in the Daan and Xinyi areas. What I love most about this hotel is the amenities—they use exclusively Jo Loves products.

I stay there twice a year and always engjoy it. Good location, comfortable and quiet. Cozy smaller hotel with a good vibe.

We really liked this unique property! The rooms are not especially large, but they are very nice. It is like a high end boutique hotel. The room had a small fridge with waters and sodas that were complimentary. Also they had a happy hour with free snacks and drinks from 5 to 6 each day. It is about 5 or 6 blocks from two different MRT stations, Da’an and Xinyi Anhe. So, it’s easy to get around Taipei.

Staffs were professional, helpful, and nice! The hotel is a bit older but equipments are in good working order. Plenty of bottle of water instead of standard 2 or none. Have sodas available in fridge.

The hotel is more of budget hotel rather than a luxury hotel. There is no gym or swimming pool, or any other amenities you would think ok. The staff are not rude but they all feel like tired of their job and very cold. I think there might be a manpower shortage as well as there was no one helping you with the luggage at all during our stay. The breakfast is so bad and I advise people to eat elsewhere. The room seriously needs a refresh.

The location was great, walking distance to many places and a lot of food nearby. Walking distance to MRT station and Taipei101 since my main purpose of the stay was to watch countdown fireworks. The staff were very friendly and profess, services are great and I enjoyed my stay so much. Would definitely come back again.

One of the best things about Hotel Eclat that the rooms have ample storage space! There are drawers for several days of clothing, closet space for emptied luggages, and additional space with doors for souvenirs and other miscellaneous items. I like to put things away, not lying them out in the open; this hotel fulfills this aspect.
The location is convenient, the area is safe. The decoration in the lobby is beautiful! Will stay there again for my future trips.

Our room was very comfortable. This is a great boutique hotel in Taipei. There was a desk, chair, refrigerator, a good amount of storage space built in to the wall unit. The bathroom was well apportioned with an automatic toilet and luxury shower equipped with 3 different spray heads. The location is a 5-10 minute walk to the Da’an metro station, and several bus lines have stops even closer. This makes it very convenient to travel around Taipei. The breakfast buffet was tasty with both ready available foods as well made to order egg dishes and coffee drinks. They also have a 5 o’clock happy hour. This is a great hotel for visiting Taipei.
