Learning history has never been this adventurous! Visit The Battlebox: A Story of Strategy and Surrender™, an underground site that was used as the British command centre during World War II. This command centre was built in 1936 inside Fort Canning Hill in the heart of Singapore City and this is the place where some important decisions were made that changed the fate of Singapore during WWII. In this centre, the British made the decision to surrender Singapore to the invading Japanese on 15 February 1942.
You can relive the past through the well-curated exhibition of photos, videos, and some war equipment. The life-size dioramas are also displayed to depict the situation inside the bunker during WWII. Explore this authentic museum and you will come away with an unforgettable experience and a deeper understanding of the fall of Singapore during WWII.
