Dubai and the rest of the UAE use 2 main plug types which you will quickly become accustomed to.

The plug you will most frequently encounter in Dubai is the Type G. The Type G Plug has 3 flat, triangular pins and is also the standard plug of the UK, Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. Travelers from Singapore will be the luckiest, as they will not need an adapter to power their devices in Dubai.

While Type G will be found the majority of the time, Type C plugs may be found in older buildings and less expensive accommodations. Type C is a 2-pin, round plug, and the Type C Plug is used in most of continental Europe. This plug is also handled by most universal adapters, so it may be a good idea to carry one.

Dubai operates on 220-240V at 50Hz, the same standard used across the UK, Europe, and most of Asia, including Singapore. For Singaporean travellers, this means your appliances are already built for Dubai's voltage and will run without issue.
