From the warm greeting, cool vibe of the place and a spotless and comfortable room we were impressed with Kyah. We relaxed instantly, enjoyed the bikes, gym and grounds, hot tub nice addition.. Blaq restaurant; again warm greeting, cool vibe, good menu and wine list for dinner, we enjoyed everything we ate here. Overall the room at the hotel was good. However, we booked our room close to a year before our stay and our decision to book was because breakfast was included which was well rated in guest reviews and the photos showed a wonderful buffet breakfast in the restaurant On arrival we were informed the hotel no longer offered breakfast and we could purchase a grab and go breakfast from the lobby which we could not eat in the restaurant. After several requests a complimentary breakfast was included for our first night but not the second night of our stay, resulting in $75 additional costs for us to eat breakfast in a local cafe. Whilst hotels may change their offering, no attempt was made to contact us prior to our stay to inform us breakfast was not included. The manager had attitude with a capital A and very little empathy towards the customer. Her attitude was that the the breakfast they included was complimentary and she failed to understand that we had paid for a rate which included breakfast which was no longer on offer and as such we incurred significant additional cost to purchase breakfast. We stayed on Monday and Tuesday night when the restaurant offered a very limited menu. The main course was limited to two burger options and we were informed the vegetarian one was sold out. Again it was not explained on Expedia when we booked that the restaurant had an very limited offering on a Monday and Tuesday evening.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The environment was beautiful and there were many things to do in my free time. However, the cleanliness of the room was average and the pillowcases had an unpleasant smell. I would recommend it if you can't find anything to eat for breakfast. Otherwise, I would never recommend it. The dinner was delicious, but the waiters' service was poor.

The hotel is a "renovated" old motel. Sadly the renovation is really only cosmetic. There is zero sound proofing in the rooms, so you hear everything from the room above you, the rooms on either side of you, the road out in front and the carpark behind you. The windows must be the same very thin glass and metal sliding frame from the old motel. The bathroom window is fixed so it needs to always be kept open slightly which adds to additional noise. The bed is also so soft that you end up bent like a banana. The cleanliness is pretty so-so around the windows. Finally there is an issue with the hot/cold water in the shower that makes it extremely difficult to get a consistent temperature meaning it is either boiling hot or too cold.

The room was comfortable and the staff were excellent. However we were disappointed with several issues. The cleaning of the room was sporadic. On one day the room was cleaned and new towels were placed on the unmade bed. One day nothing was done. Dinner was not great. The partial menu had only two main courses. It was either a regular burger or a vegetarian one. We choose the regular one and it was very poor. We had asked about dinner on Christmas Day and had been advised there would be a limited menu. We did not expect the only choices to be the burgers. We did not fancy that again after our first experience. Christmas dinner for us was the bread and cheese that we had in the room. This is supposed to be a boutique hotel but we did not even have matching glasses in the room.

Loved the hotel - comfy, stylish, everything you need for a good stay. Only improvement opportunities would be we were a bit overwhelmed by all the info, both the pre-arrival emails and on check-in, a case of ‘too much information’ to take in all at once and we were frazzled and confused by the time we reach our rooms! Take it down a level guys, just tell us what we need to know and put the rest in the room if we need to know it later. Otherwise, a fantastic stay and a lovely spot. Esp loved the outdoor hot tub, so good!

Wonderful hotel in the Blue Mountains. Large, well appointed rooms, beautiful surroundings, and a fantastic bar / restaurant. Can’t fault it. Seeing a couple of chickens ‘zorbing’ in wire balls so they could get around the garden was a first. Give them a bigger enclosure, though!

Great hotel/motel at the edge of Blackheath. Super friendly & helpful staff. Loved the hot tub and nice touches like the tea point & lobby cafe. Handy location for the Blackheath area including Evans & Govetts Leap lookouts (with a car).

Very lovely styled property, with efficient processes to make the stay very streamlined. Comfortable rooms glammed up motel style, albeit a little dark. The bookable spa was wonderful. Breakfast cart was nice and tasty but would have preferred more substantial offerings on site. Solid 4 star property and would stay again if in the region
