Pool was closed for at least 2 days which was a shame but we were allowed to go to their nearby hotel. Although that hotel didn't have pool showers so it was a wet walk back. Cleanliness of house keeping could be better. Noticed the floors weren't vacuumed and tea/coffee items weren't topped up two days in a row until we mentioned it and it was then promptly cleaned. Full marks for the breakfast buffet!

Room was clean but smelt stale, I assume due to the fact no windows can be opened. Staff were fantastic, extremely friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean .Bed and pillows were perfect, very comfortable. Only issue for us was beimg directly below the gym, going to sleep and waking up to weights being dropped was not relaxing.

Very loud constant humming from in room (TV unit?) Not the best sound-proofing either... You can hear anything dropped on floor from above. Gym was poor (cable functional trainer had no attachments). Breakfast was very good. But on checking-out they charged me for my stay even though I pre-booked via Expedia. This was enormously irritating and shouldn't have happened. I now have to wait for the reimbursement which ruins the rest of my holiday.

Overall very nice experience. I took two stars away from 5s because we could not access pool. If i knew the pool was under maintenance, I would not book this hotel for family staycation. The hotel directed me to another pool that is out of hotel, but it was too inconvenient and my kids did not want to go there. Otherwise I am vey happy witu everything else.

I completely get it that it was Christmas Day and Boxing day but staff were low in numbers (took awhile to be served), cleanliness of bar area not great and the pool area and pool itself was disgusting! Pool area had dirty glasses and plates scattered all over. Tables dirty and disgusting. And the pool was cloudy and had a lot of dirt and bubbles in the corners. Was pretty gross. Room service also not available, or if it was the QR codes in the room didn’t work. Restaurant and pool bar closed during our stay (without being informed of that at the time of booking), We also had someone at about 11pm on level 2 bang on most of the doors (from what I can tell) 5 or 6 times. I was with my two young kids who were woken and very frightened. Lastly we were told we would only pay $10 for parking at the station across the road and ended up having to pay $31. We stayed a few years ago and things were definitely not like this then. The pool area and lack of service were definitely a major disappointment.
