Nice big complex and great size room with a view of the lagoon. Unfortunate strong chemical cleaning smell we had to open the ranch sliders to air it out, fine after that.

Beautiful views and was a great base for exploring the east coast. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, and the restaurant had a good variety of options available. Only down side was that walls were quite thin and could be a little noisy at times, but otherwise a fantastic stay!

We had an awesome view of the lake and the beautiful birdife from the clean room. They promoted bathrobes on the website, but no longer have them. Sunday afternoon drinks in the sunfilled deck listening to Tim Busby was fun. It was a short 10 minute drive to Billabong Bay, which was spectacular.

Staff were really friendly & helpful. We found our room fell short in that our garden room was looking at a dirt weed mound more than a garden. The curtains had no shears so we were open for any one to see in or in total darkness. Then after every shower we had to mop the floor as the bathroom was soaked as there was only a shower curtain that was too short. Then finally it was the first time we have stayed somewhere that didn’t have a toaster available plus the guest laundry was closed which is quite important when you are doing the lap of Tassie.

The room, staff and amenities were fine. Unfortunately the dining experience in the Restaurant was below average. Firstly for the prices charged you would expect table service. Secondly the premium steak ordered as medium rare came out past well done with some sorry excuses for seasonal vegetables. A competent Chef could not have allowed a steak that poorly prepared to be delivered. Overall this experience unfortunately tarnished what was on the whole an enjoyable stay.
