It was a pleasure to meet the staff during the check in process, it is a great location and I appreciate being able to be close to the CBd and close to my Son who lives next door in Madison

Decent apartment for 2 adults & 2 children. Shower had great water pressure though kitchen sink had low pressure. Good to have a washing machine & dryer. Little tricky to find entrance but they had detailed directions. From car park entrance beware there’s 5 steps to the lift so would have to lift suitcases. Beds comfy but sofa was very saggy and not very comfortable to sit on. Aircon unit worked fine. Pool was good. Overall a great central spot to stay.

The place was grotty - the front door was dirty and had smudge marks all over it - a regular wipe down wouldn't kill any one to do. It gave an impression of what will it be like inside. And yes the impression from the door confirmed it. The coffee table was old and had the under-the-table screws bulging the above surface. Floor and skirting was not well presented nor clean to the standard that the price charge should command! Towels need renewing. Fortunately, it was one night and not longer. I will miss this place on my next visit, despite it being in a great location.

Stayed 1 night in Melbourne CBD. Had water leaking from upstairs room through the led downlight. Maintenance came in and removed the downlight and put a cup in its place. The following morning, cup overfilled and spilt onto friend whilst they were getting ready. Pull out sofa bed was also damaged upon arrival.

Plenty of places to eat out. Nice staff. Solid kitchen we did not use. Dirty utensils with hardened dirt, mouldy chopping boards, dirt on walls, no hand towels, no scrubber to hand wash dishes. And why candle holders on table without candles? Should candles be even encouraged? Should the gas stove be removed and replaced with portable induction hobs? But cleanliness. Costs nothing. And made me a bit uneasy. Will carry disinfecting wipes when I travel next. This time we left in a rush. Has a lot of wasted potential

Abysmal service from check in staff. First time I’ve ever been given the bird and sworn at by staff when I queried why the deposit was 500% of the room cost. This is after being told to be “patient” while waiting on the street for 30mins to be able to check in. You check in a cafe. There is no reception. This is not disclosed by Expedia. And then Sakura tack on more conditions after the booking is secured. Also not disclosed at the time of booking, but relied upon to deny a refund. A 6pm curfew to check in? Absolute disgrace - stay away at all costs. This is as dodgy as it gets.

Good that it was close to public transport. Double bed was a very small double bed. Good for 1 person. Flat screen tv couldn’t even get channel 7 cause it was so old. Balcony is enough for 1 person to stand and that’s it. Pool was ok temp. Not heated. Pull out couch my kid said was so uncomfortable. Good size fridge/freezer. Microwave would’ve been good if there was and microwave safe dishes/bowls. Dodgy table and chairs that I wouldn’t be eating on. Too unstable. Sorry but won’t be staying here again for that price.

We were disappointment regarding our stay at Sakura Apartments. Our experience has been marred by poor room maintenance, and hygiene issues that impacted my family’s safety and comfort. Room Maintenance and Hygiene Concerns: While the room initially appeared adequate, a closer inspection revealed several broken or unhygienic features: Kitchen: The stove was missing its control button and had a visible chip on the edge. Bathroom: The door had no lock, and the top of the door frame was covered in thick dust. The mirror edges were worn out, and in one of the top corners of the shower area, there was broken, molding material. Laundry: Both the washing machine and dryer were dirty with mold around the machine rings; they were in desperate need of a thorough cleaning. Bedding: I was shocked to find a cockroach crawling on my bed, which made it impossible to sleep due to health concerns. Furthermore, the small bed for my child had no quilt cover sheet and the mattress was so uneven it was unusable.

Great location and good value. Apartment has just about everything needed for a comfortable stay. Could do with a few more of the basics, eg T towels, washing up liquid, clothes etc. Nice to have a small outside balcony area. Excellent shower. Modern microwave and washing machine. Front entrance closed late at night so to gain entry to the building you need to use the side entrance on the right hand side.

The staff at check in were lovely and the instructions to get into the car park and the apartment were clear and easy to follow. When we got into our room and had a look around, the first thing that really stood out was that there was a general griminess to the place and the bathroom really cemented that with the obvious mould all around the shower. There were only two towels supplied despite the three guest booking and when it came to bed time, we were left sleeping with no bedding in the master bedroom as no bedding was provided for the third guest sleeping on the fold out sofa. The apartment is in a great location, very convenient and easy to access various parts of the city, the stay was just a bit disappointing

Check in was simple via a cafe down the road. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was very worn, it has seen some traffic. Carpets are stained and vacuum cleaner doesn't make it into the corners. Patio furniture included two damaged chairs, which is not ideal. Right across from Spencer Street Station. At the price point, I wouldn't stay again but it suited our needs.

Covered in bed bug bites! Dirty on arrival. Soap filled with water. Toilet seat broken. Nothing like photos advertised. Was made pay additional cost for pull out couch when booked for family room. Very disappointing & disgusted.

The apartment is in a great location, with easy access to public transport and plenty of good restaurants nearby. The apartment itself is a bit old, and the beds weren’t very comfortable. Overall, it’s a decent option for a short stay if you’re mainly looking for convenience and location rather than luxury.

Well priced. Good location. The room is showing its age. Check in is a bit of a stuff around but do the pre check in stuff and it's as smooth as it can be. Good view
