Here is the updated review with the added location details: ⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ Great Stay at the DoubleTree Windsor — Just One Area to Improve I recently stayed at the DoubleTree in Windsor for a bachelorette weekend, and overall, I had a really positive experience. I arrived a couple of hours before the official check-in time and truly appreciated that my room was already ready. After a long drive, being able to check in early and rest before the festivities made a huge difference. The room itself was very clean, modern, and updated — exactly what you hope for in a hotel stay. The bed was comfortable, everything felt well maintained, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Throughout my stay, the staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The location is excellent — very central within Windsor and literally steps from the U.S. border. It only took us about 20 minutes to get to Little Caesars Arena, including border crossing time, which was incredibly convenient. I’m giving four stars instead of five because of the breakfast experience. Our food took over an hour to arrive, and when it finally did, some of it was cold. It was clear the restaurant staff were overwhelmed and doing their best, but management should ensure there is adequate staffing during busy periods to avoid these delays. Aside from the breakfast issue, the stay was wonderful. I would absolutely stay here again and hope to see improvements in the restaurant service.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Windsor, Ontario, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few areas that could use improvement. What I Loved: I booked a water-view room, and I have absolutely no regrets. The view of the Detroit skyline was breathtaking — truly the kind of scenery you could sit and enjoy for hours. Check-in and check-out were both smooth and efficient. The artwork throughout the hotel was beautiful, the room was clean and tidy, and the pool area was well maintained. What Could Be Improved: We dined at the River Room, which offers a spectacular view, but unfortunately the food did not meet our expectations. Both the beef burger and the steak were disappointing; in fact, we ended up returning the burger after only a few bites. Parking was very convenient, though on the expensive side. One thing I found unacceptable for a hotel of this level is the lack of included amenities such as bathrobes and slippers. These small touches make a big difference in comfort and overall experience, and their absence was surprising. Overall: A beautiful hotel with stunning views and great cleanliness, but with room for improvement in dining quality and in-room amenities.

Beautiful hotel with a beautiful view and very spacious room. Beds were extremely comfortable and room very clean. I would stay there again any time. Also the restaurant was delic (but not cheap).

Excellent property with outstanding staff. My room was comfortable (2 queen beds), quiet, and well-maintained. The location is unbeatable, offering beautiful views of the Detroit River and an easy walk to plenty of pubs and restaurants. Parking is available behind the hotel for a fee. The staff was fantastic throughout my stay, especially Nissy, whose warm support and professionalism truly stood out. Highly recommended.

Had the best stay at the Double tree Windsor. The room was spotless, clean, and just perfect. Bed was so comfortable and clean. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Loved it! Will definitely return.

Comfortable as always

Love the welcome cookie! The bed was very comfy and the view of the Detroit skyline was very nice. Short walk to Caesar’s casino and downtown Windsor. Only thing is I wish there was complimentary water in the room.
