Good location for downtown Toronto. Private room was clean, shared showers could have been cleaner but overall okay! Free breakfast was a good, they also had oat milk for coffee/cereal which was appreciated! Hairdryers were available from reception. The hostel is opposite a homeless shelter so lots of people hanging around all day/night, we didn’t necessarily feel unsafe though due to this but did take extra care especially at night. The street itself was very lively during the day and there were bars etc. busy at night.

Stayed for just one night and had a great experience!

First time properly staying at a hostel and the bed we’re comfortable, showers and bathrooms clean. A lot of options for breakfast although it can get really busy in the kitchen during this time. I found it overwhelming on the first morning so grabbed fruit to walk but the 2nd morning I sat and had a cream cheese bagel and an apple. I had breakfast after 9.30 when it was quieter. The plugs by the bed work but not the usb ports. Realistically a strong 7 out of 10. Scored lower as there are a lot of homeless people along this road and outside the hostel to the side which can be off putting unfortunately but the staff were so helpful and friendly. I was also worried about not being able to check in after 2am as they hadn’t responded to an email or the chat I sent. When I got there, there was 2 receptionist working and check in was smooth.

Very lovely stay at the hostel, we had no trouble with checking in and the front staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable (good ac!). The bathrooms and shower are good and we rarely ran into people (the bathrooms more than the shower), both were clean and had the basics whenever we needed. They gave me and my partner each a key card which was very appreciated. The breakfast also was very nice, many options. Thank you so much for the stay.

Great budget friendly option for a short stay in Toronto. Very diverse neighbourhood!

I was suprised to see how nice the staff is. Its really safe atmosphere. Washrooms were clean, the bed was bed bug free. Its really worth the money.

I just stayed for two nights. It's was good. Really friendly staff. They have hairdryer at the reception. The bed is comfortable. The locker for the luggage was ok for my backpack. The breakfast is included.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The price is fair for the room you get. The premises are clean.

I loved the space! It’s not only well located, but also very solo-traveller-friendly because they have great security. The shared bathroom didn’t even feel like a shared one — I never bumped into anyone. There’s no elevator, but I didn’t mind! Breakfast was okay, enough for the price of the stay, and they even keep your luggage for free after you check out! The common room is also very well equipped with books, tables, and games. My only issue was a group of homeless or addicted people right outside. They never did anything besides yelling sometimes (not at me, though), but it was still a bit scary when I came back late. This is a downside for me because it wasn’t mentioned — a little heads-up would have been appreciated! That said, their presence is understandable since it’s a very young and active neighborhood, with lots of restaurants and Kensington Market just around the corner. The first night, there was a party at one of the nearby places — the music was super loud and people were screaming. It wasn’t a problem for me because I’m a heavy sleeper, but it’s something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to noise. Again, I think it comes with the territory given the super convenient location. Overall, a great place to stay if you want to explore the core of the city using public transportation — or even just walking!

Located in Kensington Market with quick access to public transit and easy walkability to nearby places of interest! Great complimentary breakfast and housekeeping. Would definitely recommend for the price :)

Decent hostel for 1 or 2 nights if on budget. This hostel is located in a very undesirable neighborhood, adjacent to a homeless shelter and another one a couple blocks away. I did not feel safe walking near the hostel and did not stay out when it got dark. The hostel itself is renovated, it offers breakfast, which the majority of hotels/hostels do not. The bathrooms are very small and cramped and are unpleasant when people do their business since there is no window. The building itself is secure, but rooms are of course very basic with a locker. Dorm beds are uncomfortable and the springs can be felt, pillows very flat, and bunk very shaky and noisy.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful! It was my first stay on my own and I was more than comfortable! Would definitely recommend this place if you're needing accommodations on a budget.

The overall stay was okay its just the area where the hotel is located is worrying because it is near to a homeless shelter and tends to be very noisy at night. Towels were too small and soaks up easily. Toiletries were not complete and the lockers were too small to fit a carry-on or a back pack bag then you end up putting your things on the floor. Bed and bed linens were clean as well as the toilet. They could have started serving breakfast as early as 6 AM for guests who needs to up early. Staff was really nice and accomodating.
