Location and access to transport and general facilities while in London

Easy to get to from the station. Looked after our bags. We were on the basement floor so could hear the underground a little. May bother a lighter sleeper but otherwise all good!

Bit dated, investment needed to modernise the hotel rooms. Friendly staff and great location.

Very economic. Certainly not the fanciest but that’s the point. It’s a nice cheaper option especially for the location. Easy access to train station. Lots of shopping and dining in walkable area. Near Hyde park. The breakfast was just okay and the shower temp was a bit hard to manage. But price for location it’s perfect.

Construction, noise from that a shaking from subway trains every few mins in the room, terrible and no offer to decrease cost it was just what it is

Very shoddy needs updating and redecorating.Very noisy room as it was right near the station.The fridge was so noisy in our room we had to unplug it The curtains didn't pull and were very old and outdated.We will not be coming back

Well located at Paddington with restaurants, mostly middle eastern in the area. Property undergoing renovations which are needed. As a low cost (for London) property expect lots of school groups. Only real concern was the bed which very much needs to be upgraded but which was adequate. Also a lot of stairs and no lift. Overall I was happy with the property and the staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was OK but nothing special.

Loved the location - Norfolk Square gets you 1 block from Paddington, but far enough away to only have 1 Tube system vibrating buildings at certain times of day. The most difficult thing about this hotel (and the adjoining sister properties, e.g. Shakespeare, Tony's, and the Rove) is that they are all 4-story buildings with no lifts/elevators. Be prepared for this. Stairs and doors are narrow. The low rates appeal mostly to larger families and school groups. There will be times of noise. They are not posh, but reasonable efficiency-centered rooms. There are radiant heaters, but cooling may be an electric fan with an open window. Reception is open 24 hours for late arrivals. There is free WiFi that is reliable. And breakfasts on-site can be had for an additional fee. There are also numerous options off-site since you're near a full transport station to everywhere in the UK. Basically, I'm happy with it as-is, for the reasons I stayed within budget. If I could afford more, there are options, but for the price, it's a really good value.

Very pleased with everything about the property. Great price and near most of what I wanted to see.

No lift, so if you’re on the third or fourth floor be prepared! The room is functional, nothing impressive, but the staff were very helpful and the location is great.

I won’t stay there again.

Clean room, strategically located in Paddington.

The hotel is located in a very convenient and safe place. Staff did an excellent job, feom reception till the breakfast service all was great and very professional. Will definitely be staying in the future. Thank you for being so Great!!!

The biggest down side for me was I was on the 4th floor with very narrow steps.There is nothing on website about this and as I am almost 70 it was difficult.Shower was very slow to get hot but there was a fridge and bed was comfy.

The most adorable hotel I’ve ever seen, so convenient to Paddington station. There are plenty of restaurants and stores around. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were too thick and hard. The room was clean enough, except for a dust bunny or two. You can hear the tube come through Paddington from early morning and into the night, and at first I thought it would keep me awake, but I got used to the sound and vibration. The stairs are very narrow and steep and are hard to climb while carrying luggage. Very simple, very basic, but I’d stay here again for that price.
