I had a good stay at the hotel. The location is very convenient. It is less than a 5-minute walk from the Syntagma metro station. The rooftop restaurant has very nice views of the Acropolis and Syntagma Square.

The Astor hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The staff were very helpful, whether it was collecting our bags, arranging a taxi or assisting when we had flight issues. From the front desk, to the grooms to the barista, they were truly amazing. The view of the acropolis from our trim was great and there was also a very nice rooftop lounge with both inside with AC and outside. A nice spot to watch the sunset. Great location as well, all around we would recommend.

The staff was really nice and welcoming, and the check-in process was smooth. The hotel is also in a great location, within walking distance of restaurants and other attractions. However, my overall experience was disappointing. The room was incredibly small, and there was an AWFUL smell coming from the bathroom that made the stay uncomfortable. Unfortunately, nothing seemed to help remove the odor - I even opened the windows, but it persisted. Additionally, the coffee machine was not working, and the closet was positioned so close to the bed that it was very difficult to open and use. Overall, I would rate this hotel closer to a 3-star experience rather than a 4-star one.

Our stay was fantastic, largely due to the unique room layout, which was perfect for our group of three. Having four twin beds with one in a separate room, a mini-fridge stocked with water, a full bathroom, and an additional separate water closet made for a very convenient setup. The hotel’s rooftop restaurant was another highlight, offering stunning views of the Acropolis. Being able to open the windows and the roof to enjoy the evening air made for a memorable dining experience. The location is truly ideal; we were steps away from Parliament to watch the changing of the guard, and perfectly positioned for wandering through local shops and dining spots. It was a wonderful find, and I can’t wait to return for a longer stay.

Great location in downtown Athens. We walked everywhere from here. Best view of the Acropolis from the restaurant on top floor. That was really nice. Friendly staff. Rooms and bathrooms a bit cramped.

It was pretty nice for the value! The street noise was a bit annoying from my room and the hall noise at 2 am wasn’t lovely, but besides that, I enjoyed the rooftop bar at sunset and got a somewhat good nights sleep.

With its beautiful rooms, wonderful rooftop restaurant, helpful and friendly staff, and great location, I am so pleased that I chose Astor Hotel. Breakfast had so many delicious choices and the coffee was terrific. For an evening drink there was a great wine menu that also included cocktails. Even mocktails! This hotel treats its guests so well and offered so much in terms of hospitality. I will be back.

Nice building and room, we were very suprised by the nice large balcony. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. Only negatives were very low water pressure for the shower and the bed was just two twins pushed together.
