Recommended hotel to stay if you want to travel around Venice compared with the main hotel in the island, which is more expensive, small, and old. Very, very good location just in front of Mestre Station, one step to the main lagoon to Venice, less than 10 minutes with the local train which goes back and forth every 10 minutes. The hotel is quite new, big and spacious room, nice complete breakfast, nice local food in the restaurant, and very nice people in the reception. Definitely will stay here for the next visit!

SMELLY ROOM- couldn’t even sleep due to the smell. Cheap AC turned on and off every 5 seconds, and AC was so low that room was stuffy. Guests have no control over the temperature, prob set around 75. Very good selection breakfast, staff worked super slow during checking in, not sure reason why.

Clean room. Super convenient as it is right across from the train station in Mestre. All was ok. Staff was helpful and nice. Mestre center is about 20 min walk. Area around train station not great, but ok if you are just spending the night there.

A quite gem next to the train station in Mestre. Room was immaculate, the facilities too, and the breakfast was a very nice surprise. Bus to Marco Polo is nearby, but they also can arrange airport transfers. Luis

In abit of a down and out part of town, and right next to the train station (which helped for our 2am arrival), we were pleasantly surprised with smooth check in, free room upgrade, comfortable room and magnificent breakfast. Leaves continental breakfasts in the dust! A great option if you are staying in Venice area.

Don’t be fooled by the name “Plaza”, this a comfortable but not luxury place, bustling with a large number of tourists, presumably attracted like me by the extreme proximity to the train station and to a large number of inexpensive eating places nearby. Breakfast buffet was good, my rooms was nice. On the minus side: AC was either down or very week, so the room was too warm but still tolerable. Water was hot but only an inadequate trickle in the bathtub, barely enough for a (slow) shower.

The property itself was fine. However, I had a reservation with breakfast included. Showed them my reservation from Expedia. Said they never received any email about the breakfast from Expedia and charged me for 4 days of breakfast. They said to take it up with Expedia. Then they tried to overcharge me again after I paid them the deposit and NOT deducting the paid deposit from the final payment amount. They’re either not that bright or trying to rip off tourists.
