Hotel San Francisco

The stay was ok, but they dont help you with your luggage and they have stairs to get into main door. Also its annoying that they have to lock the main door and only open when you ring a bell, even when you trying to get out they have to be there to open the front door for you mind you the receptionist is not sitting there all the time as they get up to do something, I almost missed my uber waiting for the guy to go to counter and open the door.

Pros: Staff was great and breakfast was good - lots of options. Nice area. Hotel and rooms were very clean. Cons: We were awakened at 8am one morning by housekeepers moving furniture in the rooms just above us. When I spoke with them, they said "we're sorry, but this is the time when we have to clean." In other words, "sorry, not sorry." Cleaning is one thing, but it sounded like they were literally throwing furniture around, making as much noise as possible. The heat didn't work... we tried to adjust the heat up to 23 or 24 C but it would not go above 22 and we didn't get the sense that there was heat coming out of the air condition unit in any event - the fan would blow all night but the air coming out was not warm. There was nowhere in the shower to put soap or shampoo/body wash. You had to either balance it on the door frame or put it on the ground, which seemed unsanitary.

Good value for the money. Clean. 24hour reception. Reasonable breakfast. Not the best location but only 10 minute walk to the metro.

Neat, clean and quiet area

Solo use. Arrived around lunch time. Room was ready. Very simple room but comfortable bed that's all I needed. Water , soft drink were in the fridge but only water is free . Wifi working very good. Closest station was mega and many exit and easily can get lost .... Once you remember it's very easy to reach . just straight and turn right that's it . 5min walk . Breakfast serve 7-10am . Freshly made coffee , variety of pastries, yogurt, fruit etcetc.

Arriving at night off the train from Paris involved a subway ride and shortish walk from Loreto station. When I left I took the much easier bus, direct to Milano Centrale, from just up the road. My room was compact but efficient with a bench for my suitcase, hangers above, a work desk, fridge, free WiFi and TV. The bed was a king single and comfortable enough for two nights. However, there was no kettle or tea & coffee in the room. The bathroom was nicely appointed, with an excellent rain-shower and soft towels. Breakfast came with the room and was very good. Coffees were ordered from the barista and hot and cold selections were on offer. Get in early to ensure you get some of the delicious pastries. The outdoor dining area was a pleasant surprise. For what it was, it was more than I wanted to pay, but Milan in mid-summer is expensive.

The staff were very kind, and the room was comfortable. Although the rooms are not very spacious and might be a bit tight if you have large luggage, I would still recommend staying here.

I did book for three person when I check in they give me only one bed and they made me to pay for another bed for the sales person. They said this is the policy.

I booked this because of its good reviews . Well all I can say is these people's expectations were very low 200 euros a night for what can only be described as a very very low budget hotel people raved about the breakfast ... yes good choices but very little edible every day 3 in all we opend lids to find one disgusting dry fried egg and some congealed scrambled egg on 3rd day I tried the dry bacon which shattered when i cut it and when i asked if they could refill pancakes so we could have them i was tod Abruptly NO FiNISHED.. everything was cheap.. cheap yoghurt cheap cereal and the juice well so watered down and sweet you couldnt tell what it was .. what i think was orange was positively glowing .Adequate rooms with I must say good quality bedding but nowhere near enough bed cloths .. so called aircon/heating but it's controlled by hotel not individual rooms .. shower door broken lighting broken .. both fixed but only next day... staff polite until I started complaining about the issues .. and I did it politely.. then became abrupt because I'd asked for a discount.. breakfast staff then became dissmiive of us. I could understand if I'd been aggressive or rude but that's not my style .. The receptionist Christian was kind and helpful always and the room cleaner he was nice but the rest were not so great The lighting in the whole hotel is dim and the breakfast room dull

Easy to aces to Metro Station

Well kept room and fantastic breakfast

The hotel is located in a very convenient spot, just a short walk to the metro that takes you directly to the city center in under 10 minutes. The building itself is very old but nicely restored, with a charming garden at the back where breakfast is served — definitely a highlight. On the downside, the stay felt a bit pricey, especially once the additional tourist city tax was added (in this case €6 per person, which wasn’t made very clear in advance). Rooms are quite small; we were upgraded to a larger one, but even that felt cramped, so I can only imagine how small the regular rooms might be. Fine for a one-night stop, but not ideal for a longer stay, especially with kids. The staff were very professional and friendly, which made the experience pleasant. Parking, however, was a challenge — there’s no free option except for limited street space along the curb, which is hard to access. Overall, a good short-stay choice if convenience matters most, but not the best value for money considering the extra costs and room sizes.

Nice place

This hotel is a great base for exploring Milan. 10 minute walk to Loreto M1 Metro. Really comfortable bed and great breakfast. The rooms are basic but good value for money.

Nice place to consider for your visit

Great location and super close to public transport and couldnt be easier to get to where you wantes to goo. Great breakfast and helpful staff. Room was comfortable.

It was a good accommodation for 4 night stay in Milan. Hotel is situated a bit far from Milan central. Overall hotel had good ambience and staffs were friendly and helpful. Our room had a direct access to garden which was a plus. Room was clean and had daily room service which was good. Breakfast was pretty basic but with a budget options I felt they were good enough.

Great place to stay. Will definitely stay again in the future.
