What Guests Say About Their Stay

Baths were great. They switch the large and small baths between men and women daily. The large bath has an indoor bath, a Sauna and plunge pool, and an outdoor bath made with lava rock from Mt. Fuji. It is quite delightful. Staff was super helpful. There was a free one way shuttle bus on weekends to the top tourist spots. Sign up early as it only holds 16 people. Breakfasts are very tasty, with around 8-10 different kinds of sushi 🍣, among other things. Yum! Check out the temple across the street, very calm, not touristy.

Fantastic stay with an amazing view – highly recommend! We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t be happier with our choice! The location is incredibly central and an easy walk to Kyoto station (7-10 minutes), with local bus stops less than a 1 minute walk away, making it a highly convenient base for getting around. They offer a complimentary tourist attractions bus, but it wasn't available the days we stayed (Wed - Fri), not sure if it was time of the year or it only runs certain days, little disappointed, but used the Sky Hop Bus from Kyoto Station instead. The room itself was clean and very comfortable. Provided also was complimentary nightwear, slippers and bottled water. The highlight of our room though was the spectacular view of the Higashi Honganji Temple across the road, it was truly amazing. The only minor drawback was the air conditioning, which we found for us too noisy to leave on while trying to sleep (either that or silent mode button didn't work), but we was still able to have a goodnight's rest. The front desk staff were friendly and polite throughout our stay and was happy they offered left luggage storage, which we used both before checking in and after checking out. Overall, a highly recommended hotel and we would absolutely stay here again!
