i like the water, coffee and soft drink complimentary service. the onsen was the best! i also used the massage chair 3 times 😌

This was a great option and good value! THE PROS: 1: The staff was absolutely top tier - friendly, going out their way to help, and spoke good English. 2: Room was clean and functional. Tatami beds were comfortable. The bathroom is tiny but fully functional with good water pressure and temperature. 3: Amenities were good given the limited space and resources. Onsen, massage chairs, water/drink station, sitting/business room. ALSO - The optional Japanese breakfast was good and convenient. Highly recommend it if you want a variety of tastes to start your day. CONS: 1: Updated older building. While it is nice, it is a little short on door and bathroom ceiling heights. (6' and 7') 2: Bathroom is small. Older rokutans did not necessarily have showers. There may have been converted to be a full bath with tub/shower but then the sink is a bit tiny and it's a prefab plastic construction to fit. It's clean and they provide wash and shampoo. So they do a great job with upscaling what they have to work with. All in all, me and my family were pleased and feel it was a great value. Would definitely stay again. Extra thank you to the lady receptionist who help reschedule our bus/train ride back to Tokyo - she was amazing and went above and beyond her job to help us. It reflected very well on the hotel and it's staff.

They welcomed me as soon as I got out of the taxi, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, there is limited parking from what I saw, but I was using the bus… the hotel does have a bus that will drop you off or pick you up at certain times from the Kawaguchiko Station. Breakfast was amazing!

Old room nice area helpful staff

The room was even better than we'd expected - very spacious and the beds were super comfortable. They provided all amenities you could need. The staff were super friendly with the check in process and all questions we had about travelling around the area. They offer free parking, and is in a very convenient location to walk or drive.

This is a traditional

Our ryocan room was perfect! Combined with the beautiful Kaiseki meal we were served, and the on site onsen. It felt like an authentic Japanese experience. The staff were very accomodating and the room was very cozy and clean. I'd stay here again any day.

The onsen was very good, loved the open air section. Free massage chairs and drink area outside. Staff friendly, helpful and can communicate with english speakers Shuttle bus leaves at 9 and 10am to get you to kawaguchiko station.

It’s pretty old and outdated. The view from my window is pretty bad.

Excellent service!

Very clean hotel. Staff were kind, welcoming, and offered a lot of help and suggestions for the surrounding area. The hotel is about a 15-20 min walk to the train station and is close to restaurants. The “Mt. Fuji view” room is definitely worth it.

Great staff, amazing hot spring, room was comfortable, clean, and authentic, awesome location and definitely a great stay! They even had a free laundry machine.

During construction the outer room is a kind of cold that doesn't warm well, blazing hot or frigid like you're outside in January. Onsen is very toasty. Hospitality was generous, heaters, bathroom were not well or at all insulated. So from San Diego to Mt Fuji is colllllld, so be mindful of that's what you're looking for it's rad location w/ free shuttle to/from station. Try wagyu burgers in town!! Onsen outside & inside are lovely, body products OUTSTANDING w/ massage chairs, drink station w/ hot coffee is very welcoming. Just cold or your sweating. Maybe it's a construction during winter issue, the temps...mostly awesome just be prepared for 25 degrees at sunrise. Lovely memories.
