This is a lovely hotel with very clean, comfortable rooms, an excellent Italian restaurant and very friendly staff, but despite the name, it is not very close to Kyoto Station by foot. It is located 600-800m away from the station. Additionally, Kyoto Station is not near the main sights in Kyoto such as the Gion - the Gion-Shijo Station on the Keihan Line and Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station on the Hankyu Line are much closer.

The room was a good standard, the staff did their best in the strenuous conditions at breakfast. It is advised to go to breakfast no later than 8am as it did get very busy. This hotel is used by a lot of tour groups; however, the location is ideal for accessing the main Kyoto Station and the bed was the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on.
