The location of the hotel is very good. It is easy to walk to a lot of tourist attractions. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, they charged my power bank multiple times as my power converter stopped working. We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed our experience.

Great location, close to main tram line and plenty of shops and places to eat. Hotel staff very friendly. No breakfast provided but there is free coffee, tea, chilled water and apples, and tables to sit if you want to get your own breakfast. There are a couple of vending machines for small snacks. Overall a lovely hotel, ideal for visiting the sights of Amsterdam.

There are good things and bad things about this reasonably affordable hotel. The good - front desk staff were all very friendly, it's a short walk from the hotel to the closest tram stop - making it accessible to most anywhere in Amsterdam, and it had an elevator. The bad - rooms are very small (which is typical of budget rooms in the city) and the bathroom was unsafe and slippery. The glass partition of the shower was thin and so close to the toilet that it could possibly be shattered. The TV never worked and the Wi-Fi wasn't that great. For breakfast, the coffee was reasonably good but for food, all that was offered were apples, along with one day that had one or two tangerines. Housekeeping staff would come at unexpected times (as late as 5 pm) and although fresh towels were given, the sheets were never changed. Past reviewers complained about the slowness of the elevator but that wasn't a problem. What was a problem was that the elevator was shut down for repairs one day "until the end of the day", which forced me to use the very narrow stairs (which is typical in the city). All in all, the courtesy of the front desk staff made the stay pleasant, but not sure if I would stay there again

Single room was very small, probably the smallest hotel room ive ever been in. Faced the lift, so everytime people where using it, it felt like they where having the conversion in my room. Room was clean and single bed was comfy. TV did not work and no kettle etc in room. Staff friendly. Great location. Free tea coffee, apple, oranges downstairs, no option for breakfast.

The staff is super nice and helpful but unfortunately that doesn’t make up for the dated, stained carpet, dirty rooms, or the thin windows. My young kids and I stayed there 3 of the booked (non-refundable) nights but checked out early as we could not sleep due to the noise, either from upstairs, the hallway noise (our room was next to the stairs) or the noise on the sidewalk (10p - 4am.) Overall I did feel safe at the hotel except one night someone tried to come into our room in the wee hours of the morning, so that was concerning. I complained to the front desk about switching rooms but they were supposedly full but after I emailed the main email that evening, another room was available the next day. I had already made plans for another accommodation and transfer once they told me they were full so we could not change our plans. I loved that the hotel was centrally located but the area is very busy and gritty. I would read all the reviews and consider not being able to sleep when booking, or ear plugs may be necessary.

The location is excellent — very close to the main tourist spots and the canals, which was the best part of our stay. Unfortunately, the room was not well maintained. The bathroom was tiny and it was difficult to move around. There was no lid on the toilet, and we found dirty sheets on the bed upon arrival. Although the room had basic necessities, it felt outdated and could use significant improvements for comfort and cleanliness.

I am not convinced if I stayed in the room that I booked online after I saw the room pictures. They probably put pics that are older than 10-15 years??? The pics on hotels.com were decisive in making my decision to book this place instead of another. It is very misleading.
