This hotel is so central for everything. We had a 3 night stay, it’s a 6 minute walk from Centraal Station on is on a tram line. Walking distance to Dam Square and 5he shopping district.

We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Saint-Nicolas. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that a complimentary breakfast was included—what a treat! The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from, and the dining area was pleasant and welcoming.
One of our favorite perks was the complimentary coffee machine available in the common area. It was such a thoughtful touch—having access to any kind of coffee we wanted, whether heading out for the day or coming back to relax, really made our trip even better.
Our room was very comfortable, spotless, and beautifully decorated. Everything felt clean, cozy, and well-maintained.
The location was absolutely perfect—walking distance to just about everything you’d want to see in Amsterdam. It made exploring the city easy and enjoyable.
Last but not least, the hotel staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and were always ready to offer assistance or information with a smile.
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Saint-Nicolas to anyone visiting Amsterdam!

Cozy hotel right in the middle of Amsterdam. You can see the hotel when you exit the station and then it's a 5-10 minute walk.
There are ample stores and restaurants of all price ranges nearby. Come by bike or public transport as there is little parking available.
The room was small but very clean. Shower had good water pressure.
The breakfast was surprisingly good for such a small hotel. They had bacon, eggs and little pancakes as well as a standard assortment of cold cute and pastries. The coffee was very good and I felt the breakfast was worth what we paid.
If you don't end up with the hotel breakfast, there are ample other places to eat nearby.

Location was very convenient. The hotel was not very clean, I had to tell them they there’s hair and dirt on the floor and then it was somewhat clean.

This hotel is a short, easy walk from the central train station in Amsterdam, which itself is a short, easy train ride from Schiphol airport. It is therefore very easy to walk or use public transportation from this hotel to reach many tourism destinations in the city.
The room was furnished well but showed some signs of disrepair and poor execution. For example, there were plenty of electrical outlets near the head of the beds for charging customer devices, but too few outlets on the opposite wall to power all of the room's other appliances: floor lamp, TV, coffee maker, kettle, and Android tablet with not terribly useful hotel information (in lieu of a printed guidebook). In the bathroom, the bathtub had a strange half-door that couldn't prevent water from spilling onto the floor and the clothes hook on the inside of the bathroom door was loose and unable to carry any weight.

Hotel was as advertised. Room and bed large and comfortable. Only problem was shower over bath which was high to get in, very slippery and poor water flow. Location is outstanding in centre of town, close to Central train station. Would recommend and will stay sagain

The property itself was clean. For a one night stay across the train station, it met our needs. Staff were helpful and friendly. The surrounding area however can be noisy and because of near bars/red light district it may not be suitable for families. If looking for convenience and near transportation to the airport , this is a great choice.

Stayed with my 12 year old daughter for a few nights. Hotel was in a brilliant location as you could walk to everything. Transport options we also just a few minutes walk away. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful and always happy to help you find your way around to attractions. Rooms were lovely, clean, comfortable, warm, well decorated and had everything you need. Breakfast was also brilliant and had everything you needed to start the day. Can’t wait to go back would highly recommended

Wasn’t sure as it was near the Centraal Station, but turned out fine. I’d stay again.
If you’re a light sleeper, ear plugs might be wise because of the tram noise, but even that wasn’t too intrusive.
I’d stay again.
