Mainport Hotel Rotterdam

The staff was courteous. The hotel was clean. I appreciate a shower that's spotless. The location is perfect. My next visit to Rotterdam I'm definitely staying at the Haven Hilton Curio

This was the highlight of our 4 day trip in Netherlands. Had a great view from our room of the Erasmus bridge. The service from the lady at reception (Tess) was excellent and made our experience special. Can't wait to go and stay at the Haven Hotel again!

We I arrived at the hotel, They suggested an upgrade and I agreed. When I got to the room the bed had a footer. I’m 6’5” and that did not fit me. Had to return to the front desk to change my room. I asked for my original room back. They put me in another room with a sauna. I didn’t want a sauna and we did not use the sauna. When I was checking out they charged me for the room with the sauna. I requested a refund and they said it would have to be approved by a manager. They never got back to me. Poor customer service. Would not go back.

Really well located hotel, friendly welcoming and helpful staff - great breakfast - comfy bed and great room - separate toilet is not found often in hotel rooms.

Our room was not serviced during our stay without any mention by the check-in staff.

We had an overnight stay here to meet up with our cruise ship.

An excellent Hotel

The hotel cleaning staff stole my costume costing £425. Im still emailing back and forth the hitel about my item that the maid stole and refuse to hand back in to front desk

Helpful staff. Easy checkin. Nuce room.

We weren't informed ahead of time that this property is in transition to becoming a Doubletree. The systems weren't working properly, so checking was delayed and manual. The room was fine, though no place to unpack clothes. Very noisy room even though were on the ninth floor. Restaurant was closed due to construction.

The property is undergoing renovation work, but it did not affect our stay. Bathroom showers are poorly designed so that it is almost impossible to take a shower without flooding the bathroom floor.

While the location of this hotel was literally perfect, there was a lot left to be desired. In general the staff were mostly helpful at the reception desk, the bar staff & restaurant staff was not very attentive, to the point that some of the meat which was laid out for breakfast was actually mouldy (in photos). The rooms were well sized & seemed fairly clean although the baths could do with a deep clean because they are stained yellow on the bottom. On my first night I found a silverfish bug on my pillow (photo) but since I didnt see any more I thought it a one off so I dealt with it and went to sleep. In the morning a load more had appeared in my toilet cubicle so I reported it. The receptionist said 'Its the Netherlands, we have bugs' ... that was a poor response... but anyway I was moved to another floor/room which did not have this problem. Another negative point was the WiFi was horrendously useless / intermittant from the moment I arrived until the evening before I left. It was also impossible to call reception from the rooms because the phones depend on the WiFi to function... and of course the TVs would crash occasionally because of it too. As an international traveller having to depend on Internet connectivity this was really poor, and cell signal was extremely bad on 3rd floor. I really should have read the previous reviews deeper. There seems to be a trend, and for a hotel of this supposed Hilton calibre I expected better. Just a big disappointment in the end.
