Station Hotel Aberdeen

Had to report a couple of minor issues, but won't stop us going back

Best thing was proximity to rail station and shopping centre.

Very comfortable room just across from station The high tea offer was excellent value

Hotel lobby and communal areas looked nice room ok large but sparse with couple bits of cheap furniture and squeaky floor beds. Bathroom disgraceful wall tiles dirty needed re grouting floor tiles broken mirror so damaged couldn't see through it tsp broken large dirty chips out of bath.

Just got back from hotel spent too nights with my grandson,room was clean beds comfy and little fridge in room which was good.what they really need is fans in rooms in this heat which would really help.i had a room facing union square very noisy as had to keep window open all the time because of heat.breakfast was fine everything you need to eat for breakfast but again very very hot in breakfast room.if I went back I would ask for a room away from street if any.but all in all enjoyed my stay

Outside of hotel looks good, reception and lobby, very nice. Bedroom 206 nasty. Furniture must be from the 60's and it shows, faded tops, chipped edges. Sink plug not attached, bath plug not attached and strange black marks on bath surface, looks like coating is coming off. Toilet seat doesn't fit properly. Bathroom tiles also from the 60s. Stains on room carpet. Floor boards very creaky both in room and room above. There was a certain floorboard that if you stood on it, the wardrobe actually moved violently. It felt like the floor had a slant to it. The bed was so uncomfortable. Window was single pane and wood windowsill outside looked rotten. Overall noisy. I did think about going home a day early, but had things planned, thankfully it was only a 2 night stay. I woke at 3am the second morning and counted down the minutes til I could leave, took an earlier bus home. Apologies to the people below who must have heard every step I took. Would not recommend unless it was the last hotel in Aberdeen. I have another stay in Aberdeen later in the year and will not be staying there. Overall very disappointed with it and ruined my trip

Comfortable room, although, being in the centre of the city, with traffic noise. Very pleasant food with good variety of options. Some minor problems in room, dealt with in the main by helpful staff, but issues like propping open a (very heavy) window with a lump of wood somewhat detract from the 'Executive' status of the accommodation. Well sited for visiting city and extremely convenient for access to/from the railway station, as the name suggests!

The downstairs area was lovely nice bright modern and The staff was wonderful and helpful But our room was dated the furniture was poor and the leather Sofa was old and sunken very uncomfortable The room was dark all the time extremely hot the fan was on constant day and night It's a lovely size room and would cost much to modernise it by replacing old tatty furniture and adding a couple of pictures large window faced on to back of building and was extremely mucky my advice would put some window privacy screen on it better then looking at other old mucky windows and ventilation tubes No hairdryer in the room went down to reception for one reception said would fetch one up still never received it so kids went to bed with damp hair But the room was clean and the breakfast was fantastic

The room we had was a lot more run-down than the room pictured in the ad.

It was clean staff was bit helpfull. Didnt have breakfast or ues the parking

The room was good apart it was very warm need a fan in the room. Was clean and staff very helpful.

Ideal location when travelling by train or bus as both stations are opposite the property. Parking is behind the hotel it's charged but discounted if a hotel guest. Room was spacios and comfortable.

Room no air conditioning, and no sparkling water, just two bottles of still and not put in fridge, bedside phone for calling reception did not work plus no instruction on how to achieve getting hold of them. Room was like a green house and when I asked for a fan, they never brought one as they said it would be put in my room for when I returned, key card would not work so had to go to reception twice to sort it. Shower was lethal as could not regulate water the base of the shower was so hot, could not stand on it, if I was not wise could have got severe scolding from water as it changed tempreture of the water its self.

Smokers stood right in front of the doors to access the hotel was not a great experience for a non smoker and the doors are directly opposite reception who I'm guessing chose to not ask people to move. The smell then blew into the reception area.

To be honest I usually avoid hotels called station hotel, in many cities they are a little dated and scruffy. Aberdeen Station Hotel was wonderful and I will be back

Fantastic location opposite the train station. Just what we needed for the night.

Interesting bulding. It has been updated quite a bit but still has old building features. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and quiet. It was perfect for just stepping off the train late in the day.

Extremely basic room. One might describe it as spartan. Superficially clean. Bathroom, bedding and carpets looked fresh, but the walls were dirty looking and the previous occupants half used bottle of milk was still sitting on the window ledge. Taps in the bathroom wobbled in the china. Bathroom ceiling showed signs of mould. No bedside lamps or sockets, cheap/tatty looking furnishings. On the upside the shower was very powerful. The public areas and corridors were decorated in what can best be described as 1980s government building chic...drab, lifeless and uninspiring. Wouldn't recommend staying here.

The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay great. The property needs some work. The location is ideal.
