The Pitlochry Hydro Hotel

Old world hotel with great ambience and pristine bedroom and bathroom. A blend of old and new done very well.

Good location and breakfast but room and hotel looking a bit tired. Hot day when we arrived but heating in our room was on full so like a sauna. Asked for a portable fan but reception forgot so had to chase. Also windows in room didnt open properly so hard to get air in

Very comfortable and a good base. The breakfast service was excellent with very fresh food being brought out on a regular basis

Good room and service - very satisfactory for the price . A quiet calm stay in a good location , very easy walking distance to centre of Pitlochry. I enjoyed the spa facilities

Long walk to town and all uphill on way back. Older hotel, thin walls.

Extremely disappointed as nothing reflects the online photos. Very dated rooms with dirt overall. Cleanliness concerning, service below minimum standards. Breakfast was a buffet selection with basic items missing and very poor quality.

Stayed for 2 nights dinner, bed & breakfast superior double room with view. Lovely room good meals, been to several hotels in Pitlochry but this is probably the best for value and service as long as your ok with a walk uphill from the town which is under 10 minutes

Great location for exploring Pitlochry. Stayed in a Superior Double Room with Scenic View. Our room was a ground floor, which was really close to the swimming pool, so great for going to pool in swimming costume and a towel without needing to change. Lovely spacious large room with a comfy bed. The hotel is a little run down but that is also reflected in the price, so overall I was happy with what we paid and got. Light in bathroom out but told reception and fixed quickly. Radiator towel didn't work in bathroom and wasn't able to be fixed during stay. The heating only comes on late a night so room cold when get back from excursions but then really hot in the evening (old style cast iron big radiators), we turned them both off, as in bed with a thick duvet gets a bit much, the radiators stay lukewarm even when off, which was good for drying swimming costumes. They have the new infrared sauna which was lovely and the pool is huge and the jacuzzi was good too so well worth going for a swim. Ate at the restaurant first night, food was good but drink service was poor, took 20 mins for drinks to arrive. Ate at the bar the second night again food was good and buy own drink at bar. Ate out other two nights as so close, would recommend The Bridge Restaurant, 5-7 mins walk from hotel. Use the steps to the right as you leave the hotel, much shorter than the way you drive in.

Excellent location. Lots of parking. Friendly,efficient reception. Good sized room. Comfortable beds. Good storage. Could do with more accessible power points.

The room was beautiful. Comfortable. The view was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was clean and refreshing. The location is charming... Though quite a hike up the hill.

Unexpectedly pleasant 1 night stay. Took a bit of finding.

For a b listed building it has maintained its beauty. I would recommend this hotel highly.

Dinner was not good. Dry overcooked fish Undercooked and under seasoned vegetables. Breakfast good. Bed room has amazing view.

Overnight break with breakfast & dinner included. Disappointed with the set meal. There was no fish & one of the starters they didn't have. However the did accommodate for us to have something from the bar menu. Stay was comfortable.

The room was nice and clean and comfortable. But the bathroom had no heating and the main door to the room had a 2 inch gap from the floorboard.
