I had an amazing stay. The hotel was extremely generous, throwing in breakfast and a late check out for free. The room was lovely - in great condition, spacious, and clean. The wider hotel was also in great condition and nicely designed/fitted out. Breakfast was great, as was the gym. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel was wonderful. I was so grateful to receive a complimentary upgrade for our 3nt stay, check-in was fast and very efficient. The gentleman who welcomed us (unfortunately I can’t remember his name) after checking us in, he checked in with us in the lobby to make sure we were happy with our room. That personal touch was really nice. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and luxurious. The Christian Lacroix toiletries were an indulgent touch that added to the overall quality of the hotel room. One of the absolute highlights was the incredible view of the city, day and night. From our windows we could see iconic landmarks including Tower 1 of Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore Flyer, and the ArtScience Museum, a skyline that that I will never get over! The location was spot on for us, walking distance to the river, which was a fantastic recommendation from the staff and a perfect way to explore the area. Also only few minutes walk to the nearest MRT, which is fast and cheap way to travel around the city. Each morning, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, a good variety of food and drinks from all sides of the world. We also took advantage of the swimming pool, always quiet and relaxing. We also had great fun playing pade which was a first for us. A special mention must go to Vincent, who greeted us every single day, always with a genuine smile and a “enjoy your day!” Every detail of our stay was thoughtfully handled, and we couldn’t have asked for more. The service is excellent. We were able to early check in and late check out. Location is great. Walking distance to Havelock MRT station (Thomson-East Coast Line) and Bus station. Many Restaurants at the back of the hotel, also could walk to Clarke Quay area (around 2km). The food is super delicious with many choices! Highly recommend to add breakfast in your booking!

Hotel was clean. Check in was very slow. I had two bookings and they upgraded one room which put us on different floors. This was not helpful as we were not close to each other. We could not get to different floors. Not an upgrade as the rooms were the same and being on different floors just caused an inconvenience.

When my step-daughter and I were looking for 5 star accommodations in Singapore, Expedia recommended the Grand Copthorne Waterfront hotel. Having worked in the movie industry for almost a decade, I can say unequivocally that this hotel reminded me more of a movie set facade than an actual 5 star hotel. While all the pictures on their website look inviting, it hardly tells the story of how minimal the actual services are. While the rooms were well appointed, the services, the restaurants, and even basic things like maintenance were poor at best. My step-daughter’s room came with a broken bathroom light fixture, and the front desk didn’t answer her repeated calls for help. She eventually gave up and had to take a shower in the dark. The refrigerators in both of our rooms didn’t work at all. The hotel’s amenities were also disappointing. The restaurants and the convenience stores closed earlier than posted. The quality of their daily buffet was more akin to an airport lounge than the quality of a luxury 5 star hotel. Expect to pay at least 35 dollars (SGD) per person for mediocre and overcooked food. Additionally, there were only 4 chairs in the entire lobby for people to sit. The staff has a lot to learn about how to service the hotel’s patrons. The staff should look up the definition of the word “guest” in a dictionary, because they don’t know what basic hospitality is. Save your money, avoid this place.

Very impressed with outstanding service provided by front desk staff Sam. He took good care of our needs and made sure we are comfortable when we arrived at the hotel earlybefore our checkin time. Same to Fadli who helped us with late checkout and baggage hold.

Excellent hotel in a good location, conveniently between Great World and Havelock metro stations on the TEL, lots of nearby restaurants and local Hawkers, walkable to downtown (by the bay) and big malls on Orchard St
