Great room. clean and plenty of space, quiet and well soundproofed...comfortable bed and a good shower...really happy to stay here in a lovely building in the Gothic

This is more a hostel than a hotel. Sound insulation between rooms is nil so it's luck of the draw whether you have quiet neighbours or not. The rooms are v basic. Mine had a kettle but no tea/coffee/anything so bring your own. Bed was OK, location superb and price decent but more expensive for Friday & Saturday night. It's a bit of a pain to have to give the key at reception each time you leave but the staff was nice. So in summary, great location, OK room, bring earplugs.

Great location in the Gothic Quarter but the room is in a hostel which although quiet itself, lacks sound proofing and is above some very loud restaurants / streets with people screaming until 2AM / rubbish trucks coming through at midnight. The room was very basic (lacked even a spoon to mix coffee, any coffee or tea sachets, no fridge etc and bathroom was functional but not super clean or modern). Beds were not the greatest but not as hard as some we've encountered in Spain. All staff were freindly enough (24hr reception) but wanted to keep the room key when we went out (which we didn't like the idea of as we had our laptop in the room).

Room was as described. Staff was great. Location was great.

Room was hot and uncomfortable

The noise levels both inside and outside the hostal were so bad that we had to move to other accommodation. I have contacted Expedia about getting a refund and have heard nothing

I had a great stay at Hostal Levante. The location is perfect—right in the Gothic Quarter, close to everything but still quiet enough to rest comfortably. The host was very helpful and made the check-in process smooth. My room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed after long days exploring Barcelona. Overall, an excellent experience. I would definitely stay here again.

great location , can walk to the cruise port about 25 minutes , clean room , nice staff , awesome price for the location .

Stayed for 3 nights — very close to the city centre, only about a 5–6 minute walk to Metro L3. The room was clean and reasonably priced. The only downside might be that the soundproofing wasn’t very good, but it’s not an issue for me.

The shower was large and clean the housekeeping was great with fresh towels daily the location was great in the gothic area

A good location simple and clan accommodation

On our last night, they set the air conditioning to only heat, and it was so hot that we only slept for three hours. The gentleman at reception just said there was nothing he could do. They also brought stained and very old towels.

Great location in the gothic quarter, just a short walk to La Rambla . Don’t be put off by the basic entrance . It’s an interesting layout inside to access your room & reception . . Lovely clean & adequate sized room with a decent sized good hot shower. Great view from our balcony & extra mini balcony of the street below & life around . ( no balcony furniture however) . The old sliding door was stiff to open but it was secured & sound proofed well enough with an internal newer extra one ! We were very happy with our choice . . Don’t expect all the extras , it is a 2 star property remember , for amenities.included . A kettle & cups are provided ( however you’ll need to bring / buy your own coffee/ tea / creamer ) There isn’t a mini fridge . We both said we would stay there again as it’s more affordable than some & good quality & is clean ! 24hr reception staff are friendly & there is a bottled water machine 1€ for when you arrive or run out when shops are closed . Definitely visit the restaurant La CERERIA , diagonally opposite the Levante entrance ( It was hidden away by metal shutters in the daytime ( October) ! Best meal we had & lovely atmosphere & friendly waitress . Wish we’d tried it earlier :)

Rooms were clean I was aiming for good location and it’s perfect with la ramble is 2 minutes walk. I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times and always come back

So convenient, well run, friendly staff and very clean suite. Would stay again as so interesting to stay in that quarter and experience the modern version of the old city.

Clean but tiny room. Shower is very small that if you stretch your arms, you will hit the shower walls. The location is very convenient, walkable to many places. Loud bangs when other people shutting their rooms' doors. Overall, it's not a fancy but good budget hotel.
