Great location, right across from central train station. Clean, nicely decorated rooms and comfortable beds and linen. Friendly staff who gave me a room with incredible view of the nearby buildings and old church steeple!

Professional staff

This is my second time staying at this property and I love it. Quick walk to Gamla Stan and right across from the Central Station. The staff is friendly, the rooms are very clean, the breakfast has a wide variety of delicious food, and the roof top bar has a nice view and heaters.

Great hotel, stylish and spacious. Very good buffet breakfast and amazing terrace bar with views over Stockholm.

Breakfast was wonderful. They said at the desk that it opened every day at 6:30, but it is actually 7 am on weekends. Loved that we could choose to have our room cleaned or not, and just get fresh towels when we needed them. Great view of city hall, loved the sun deck as a quiet place to rest.

We did not eat at the Hotel. The bed was comfortable, the internet access was good and access to the train and Arlanda express was great! Also the hotel was very quiet and we have a lovely view out of our room.

We stayed at Scandic Continental for 5 nights, arriving from the airport by train, giving us a 3 minute walk from Central Station...big plus point for ease of transfer. On arrival, we could see straight away that this would be a great place to stay. Modern, clean and with great facilities, I can find no fault with this hotel. Our room on floor 9 had a corner aspect, giving great views to the nearby church, across the city and to the harbour. The room was excellent, modern and with a clean elegant feel. Possibly the highlight though was the included breakfast. Available on floors 1 and 3, it was an extensive buffet....hot items, cold meat and cheese, waffles, cereal, yoghurt, and much more. An excellent breakfast. In summary, the Scandic Continental is highly recommended.

Worst experience ever! Malfunctioned elevator and they even deactivated the room key before check out time.

I'll go through the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good was that the hotel is across the street from the train station, T-Centralen, with direct subway access next door to the building and close access to the Arlanda Express Train to the airport, making this convenient to get in/out of Stockholm. The location is excellent for shopping and walking to Gamla Stan. You are across the street from a major department store Åhlens (similar to Macy's) and the pedestrian shopping street Drottningatan. Several eateries are a short walk. Even though it's a busy area, it was quite well sound-insulated. The breakfast buffet is both huge and varied including English/American breakfast with eggs and bacon (and even Swedish meatballs!) and the Nordic style (sandwiches) with plenty of fresh fruit, yogurt, and veggies, but this is typical of Swedish hotels. The bad is that the room decor isn't very pleasant since the trend seems to be dark grey walls and a dreary color scheme. Also the beds were NOT comfortable, they were lumpy and firm. Since it was July, it was unusually warm, and the thermostat didn't really give good A/C. Apparently, most agreed because all the fans were taken. Another little complaint was the non-existent plastic bags in the waste bins. There was 1 tiny one in the corner of the room. I understand that they're trying to be eco-friendly, but it didn't feel so sanitary as our trash piled up.

Can’t imagine better location than this. Clean rooms. Very good breakfast. Overall nothing to complain about. Definitely 5/5
