This is the hotel I always stay at when I’m in Taipei. Comfortable room. Best hotel that is near Taipei main station with lots of food options there. Good train accessibility to any parts of Taiwan.

We got our room on the 15th floor with a view of the city and the Taipei Main Station. I love the underground mall in B1 which is connected with the Taipei Main Station, so it was convenient to grab a quick coffee/breakfast before our tour guide picked us up. The staffs were friendly and attentive. Finn always kept our room clean, nice and neat. He knew I needed the extra caffeine so he always prepared extra coffee/tea bags for us. Tony and the old man opened the gate in the evening shift (sorry I didn’t get his name) were very helpful and polite. The old staff even chased after my tour van for me because I thought I’d left my hotel card in it :(, sorry I should’ve left that old man a big tips. I’ll make sure I’ll do that next time. I like how the hotel could connect you with the local tour guides; so you can book your trips directly from the hotel staff/Tony instead of Klook. I booked my tours from both Klook and the hotel staffs. Both were relatively great, so I think it’ll be more convenient if you’d like to book in person instead of online. The breakfast and the lightings in the hotel room are the only downside. It’s hard to do your makeup in the dim lighting in the bathroom. You may bring your own portable circle white lights to do your makeup. The breakfast has room for improvement. The breakfast is very average compared to another hotel we stayed in Kaohsiung, and a motel in Alishan during the same trip.

I was really underwhelmed and quite disappointed by this hotel. I didnt find it inviting at all and there were no amenities. The whole hotel felt tired and basic- of course this is expected due to the price but I still expected some level of a welcoming environment. The area around the hotel was also underwhelming although it is directly opposite Taipei main station (which is unpleasant to walk around during the night/early hours). When I arrived I was told that my room was updated to a 2 bed room- I was a solo traveller only so this didn't make sense and the room felt too big and empty/uninviting. I wouldnt stay at this hotel again

Hotel is NOT a five star. I'm not sure why it's rated as such. The hotel and room is very dated, it should be a 3 star at best. They also have a lot of weird rules like, to check out, you need to bring them both keys. I had purposely left my keys in the room for housekeeping and the front desk made me a new key and made me go get the two old keys. Worst customer service I've seen in a long time.

The room is clean. The staff were very helpful and polite. The location is excellent; especially, in a rainy day. You can access high speed trains, metro trains and other transportations without step outside to be wet.

Hotel is excellent for location, but it’s a bit dated and under maintained. Only can boast about it’s convenience to the AirPort Express mrt station, HSR, local train to hualien, the Bannan blue line and Xinyi red line.

Great location, directly connected to Taipei Main Station. Especially during the hot weather, use the underground connection to avoid the heat… My second time staying here. I’ll stay here again!

Air conditioning was variable - we stayed in more than one room, one was quite hot, temp can't be set below 24 deg while the 2nd room was quite cold -17 deg - and slowly rise to around 19 if we turn off air-con when we go out. The property is close to the Taipei Main station, many eating options and convenient stores. We managed to make last minute booking after the local tour was cancelled due to poor weather although we have to check out and recheck in again.

This was my 3rd time at the hotel. I got a suite, which was OK. The room was larger than the last time I stayed, but the bathroom takes up about 1/3 of the room space. I had requested a suite with two beds, and when we checked in, there was only one bed. I asked for it to be changed at the front desk, and they said it would take a day. I knew that the single bed was just two twins stuck together, so I took them apart and called for housekeeping to make them up. There are no dressers to put your clothes. No creamer for the in-room coffee for 6 days while there. My daughter had bought a special 101 Building Water Bottle, and they threw it away even though it was nowhere near the single trash can. We asked about it, and they said they didn't see it and that it wasn't their problem. No compensation of any sort was offered. This will probably be the last time I stay, which is too bad as the location to the Main Station and to the malls is directly under the hotel.

"I highly recommend this hotel! While the building itself is a little dated, the location is unbeatable—right in the heart of everything. But what makes this place truly special is the service, which easily rivals any 5-star hotel. A huge thank you to the staff for their incredible kindness, and a special thanks to the manager. His meticulous attention to detail and great management are clearly the secrets behind this hotel's success and the staff's dedication."
