Comfort Inn San Diego Old Town

We didn't even end up staying at the hotel. We accidentally chose the wrong date and when we called to make the change they said they did not do that nor did they provide a refund due to 3rd party business with Hotels.com. I asked to speak to a manager and they said the manager was on vacation. Like what? Not nice at all. Wouldn't want to stay at a place where they don't treat people well and do the right thing. Customer service 👎👎👎

There were 3 inch cockroaches coming out of the refrigerator in the room, paint chipping in the bathroom and the curtains had black stains on them

Liked everything.

The elevator was filthy and had graffiti. The room smelled like mildew and the carpets in the halls and room were worn and dirty. I wouldn't stay here again.

Carpets outside the rooms were very dirty, need more lights in the room also need a bin in the toilets.

The room was too expensive for what they offer, the hotel is old, the shower tub had stains and the sink was clogged. The check in is too late at 4pm and the check out too early at 11am. It used to be in at 3pm and out at 12pm

Check In was easy staff super friendly and breakfast was good.

I have a photo of a peeling bathtub surface. Also, requested that staff stop the kids from screaming in the pool. Was told it would stop when the pool closed at 9pm. Not a very friendly response. Will not yse this facility again

Women in the front desk was un profesional and rude.

Front desk lady was very disrespectful. My truck number accidentally hit the wall but there was no damage and the lady came out telling us that it was ok for us to go and when we were on our way out she mumble that we were going to get fined and she was very disrespectful.when I asked for late check out she escalated an argument which was very unprofessional. The manager knows who the lady from the front desk is. She should face consequences for her actions. Everything was going good until she opened her mouth.

Room wasnt cleaned the 3 days we stayed

First impression of my room was that it was superficially clean but very worn with peeling paint and an odd odor. I took a shower and the shower curtain almost fell off. I found it odd that even with the bathroom fan going, the mirror remained fogged up for at least an hour. After the shower, I noticed that the carpet was sticky, and it had made my feet dirty! In the morning, I noticed that not only had my sweaty clothes from the day before not dried despite the AC being on all night, but even my clean clothes were damp. By this time, the room had a distinctly musky odor. I complained about the room and was moved to a different one. It had a different funky smell, but at least the carpet wasn't sticky. Again, my damp clothes did not dry. While I was not bothered by street noise, I could hear every word that anyone said in the hallway. The breakfast offered a good selection for a sugar addict, but the quality was poor, I think the eggs were powdered, and there were no healthy options. Seating in the dining room is limited. They probably assume that nobody would eat there more than once.

Wanted to check in early, and called morning of, but could not as hotel desk told us hotel it was FULL so check in was 4. Checked in at 4,dropped off our bags, left hotel and back at 10 pm. After settling in and going to sleep, realized we are about 100 feet from the very busy and noisy freeway 5! TERRIBLE location and too much traffic noise to sleep! At 11:30 pm, not about to ask to change rooms after bags are unpacked and in our pajamas! Once you turn off tv, you can hear loud traffic noise, very thin windows. Ask for room opposite freeway, better yet, stay somewhere else. Would NOT recommend for the price, neighborhood feels unsafe. Don’t take the kids here. NO comfort at this Inn!

Quick check in, front receptionist was nice. Nice pool, room was nice and clean.
