The breakfast was a bit lacking compared to other hotels in area. The pool area can do with some attention, the bar was never staffed. WiFi is hit and miss. However with the above in mind it was probably reflected by the price paid.

Agree that it's a little dated but the room was clean and large. Balcony was fine but wouldn't bother next time as the roof top swimming pool area was great. Wonderful views, drinks available and nice and cool up there. Breakfast was a mix of food (western and Vietnamese) but plentiful and fine. Location was good - 6 minute walk from Burning Monk Statue (Thich Quang Duc) and then on to Independence palace etc. Great beer bar round the corner - try the hard lemonade 😉

(Overall) Unless you want to experience an outdated antique hotel, there is no reason to stay here. The interior feels stuck in the 1980s, and our room was quite noisy from the main road. The balcony door didn’t close properly, making it difficult to sleep at night. When we arrived late at night, the hotel was dimly lit outside, giving the impression that it was closed. At check-in, we were asked for a 100,000 VND cash deposit and that amount and cash were not clearly mentioned in the booking details. Since it was the end of our trip, we were caught off guard. We originally booked a 2-night stay but checked out after just one night and moved to another hotel. (Room) Very spacious, but the furniture, toilet, telephone, and bedding were all outdated. The bed was large but the mattress was flat and the bedding felt damp. The bathtub was so old. Worse, the gap between the bathtub and the wall caused water to leak onto the floor during showers. When we reported this to reception, they simply replied, "That’s how it’s designed." ???. (Breakfast) terrible (Staff) A single compliment for this hotel. The two gentlemen assisting with luggage in the lobby were always smiling and handled our bags carefully and assisted kindly. During our short stay, we witnessed at least two or three complaints at reception. Surprisingly, the staff were defensive in their responses. If the booking site rates this hotel 4 out of 5 stars, the real experience is a 1-star stay at best.

During our short stay, we witnessed at least two or three complaints at reception. Surprisingly, the staff were defensive in their responses. If the booking site rates this hotel 4 out of 5 stars, the real experience is a 1-star stay at best.
