My wife and I had a great time at the Hoxton Hotel in Vienna, Austria. The front desk staff along with everybody in the breakfast area provided us with outstanding service. The selection for breakfast was unmatched and the food delicious. Our room was neat, clean and comfortable and we loved the bathroom. My room was stylish, but very small. There was no writing desk or workspace. The only storage drawers are under the bed. The bathroom is well appointed with a shower, but access to it is only through narrow doors that open against the bed. The bed is comfortable. The room is quiet. Sunday breakfast in the dining room would have cost €33, so I chose to eat elsewhere. The dinner menu is adequate but not exceptional.

If you’re visiting Vienna for a day or a week this hotel is perfect! Everyone on the staff from the front desk to the coffee bar, to the rooftop bar/restaurant and everyone in between were amazing! Welcoming, kind, respectful, friendly! Great location for exploring the city and enough outside for a quiet evening. We can’t thank everyone enough.

We had an amazing stay and enjoyed the exceptionally friendly staff. Our check in experience was so pleasant. Bianca was very friendly and helped us with tips for our travels. The room was beautiful, very clean, and had all needed amenities that were just right (including little things that make a big difference, like quality shampoo and conditioner and a great shower). The breakfast was also exceptional.

On the whole, an excellent hotel. Most of the staff we dealt with were very helpful but there were a couple that just seemed like lost teenagers, not sure of what was going on. The salon bar was supposed to be open on Saturday night, and we were told as much, but we went twice to try and it was empty, no staff. Room service is advertised but the timings were not consistent, rather seemed dependent on what staff were around. The phone in our room didn’t work and wasn’t fixed during our stay. The room was very hot and the air con wouldn’t go below 20, tricky as someone 8 1/2 months pregnant, they did bring another pillow for me straight after requested though! Rooftop bar is excellent, the hotel decor was excellent. Location was excellent. It was just those couple of things and some of the staff that let it down and made it feel like we were weren’t staying in a high end a hotel to match the beautiful surroundings. Xxx
