Hilton Barbados Resort

The grounds were beautiful with very colorful plants and flowers. The staff were welcoming. The view from our balcony was awesome! Our room was clean. When we checked in, our safe needed a battery and someone came up immediately to fix it. The hotel was in a great location. I would definitely stay here again.

Most staff members were courteous. Supervisor st reception was exceptional . The housekeeping staff were fantastic and helpful the bell attendants pleasant and helpful . Some team members were great at the restaurant

We had to move rooms after one night as the shower was broken. We could not open the balcony windows in the morning as there was such a strong smell of weed.

We booked a room with a view of the ocean. Ver expensive. We were put in a room with a solid wall that we could not see out of. They would not move us. Wrote to Management after we returned and they offered us credit to use. Our celebration of our anniversary was ruined. Thought we could lie in bed and see the beautiful ocean.

The property was very clean and well . The each was very nice. Our one criticism was that the service at the hotel restaurant we dined at was extremely slow. We ate off premises for the next evening.

Everything was amazing! The staff were helpful and friendly. The space itself was beautiful and made for a perfect relaxing getaway. There is nothing I would change about the Hilton Barbados!

If there was very nice rating between good and excellent probably would have choose that for most of my answers

We have been staying here for many years. Food very good especially at the Grille restaurant, but service is slow. Wonderful staff!

Room was clean and ready at check in

Housekeeping was running behind schedule. We were unable to access our room until after 8pm. There were a couple days when housekeeping didn’t attend to our room at all. We had to seek fresh towels for ourselves and was met with a slight bit of resistance from the staff. The staff in the Lighthouse restaurant was magnificent. Chantell made sure we were well taken care of at breakfast. The beauty of the resort, the beach and the views were spectacular. I would definitely stay at the resort again. The amenities over shadow the small hiccups in housekeeping.

Clean room

The staff was rude and unhelpful from the minute we got there. We tried to check in at 7pm after a long day of travel, and the front desk woman said our room wasn’t ready and basically tried to push us aside. Only when I said I wanted a Manager did we get a room. The waitstaff at the restaurants were slow and uncaring, only speaking to us when we asked them. The woman working at the terrace restaurant was especially rude and unhelpful when I went there after trying to get room service for 30 minutes!! When we tried to get information from the woman who had tour information, she barely looked up from her phone and didn’t know about a tour another person told us about. I am a huge tipper and I always treat people with respect! This was the worst treatment I’ve ever had anywhere and I will steer ANYONE I talk away from this terrible hotel!!

Beautiful views, excellent drinks and food, impeccably clean! I was particularly impressed by how particular the housekeeping staff were about keeping the rooms clean- they were even mopping the rooms daily to keep the sand out! The beach at this Hilton is easily the best I have ever experienced in the Caribbean (and I have been to a lot of Caribbean Islands) - highly recommend staying here. Some areas for improvement- 1) the restaurants and drinks here are expensive! 2) The amenities could be improved by adding a microwave to the rooms 3)On special occasions like Christmas or New Year’s, while the special dinners at the restaurants are nice to offer, would be good to at least have one restaurant open with the regular menu for guests with dietary restrictions- as a vegetarian, it didn’t make any sense for me to pay USD250 for a special 5-course meal where the only vegetarian course was the dessert! We ended having to do takeout from another local restaurant which was a pain since there are not a lot of options within walking distance and one has to go out into the city.

I’ve been at the resort since 5pm, I still don’t have a room and it’s 8:25pm. Staff just keeps saying we are looking into it. For over $650 for one night you would think this wouldn’t happen. I may be able to give a better review when a resolution is presented but right now this is so unprofessional it’s beyond words.

This Hilton is begining to show its age and in need of renovation. Did not feel clean and air-conditioned rattled (may be a room issue only). Convenient and staff was attentive though. Recommended for families due to private beach, pool and hot tub. Recommend renovation to reclaim title at touch notch hotel in Barbados. 7/10
