I chose Double Tree because they were one of the few options with overheight parking. It turned out to be parking by valet only which was another $36 but they did a great job. The hotel was without a flaw, close to the water, very comfy bed and multiple dining options.

They need to fire the robot. We booked this room because the room listing had a picture of a balcony. We wanted a balcony, our room did not have a balcony. When I got a robot text asking how the room was I said not great, we don’t have a balcony. It said I was correct. No offer to fix. We got a few more text from the robot during our stay. None of it useful, just annoying. We were ok with not having the balcony, chalk it up to dishonest advertising, and next time check, but the texts and no human follow up just pissed us off. Loved the adjustable height shower head, but omg the toilet was absolutely the most uncomfortable thing I have ever sat on 😳

It’s an older property, downmarket of most Doubletrees. Small cramped rooms with bath door opening directly to the bed. It is however, not close to cheap. And the Fatal Flaw: it is on literally the loudest corner on the island, a walled-in tunnel of sound, with a bus stop in front and lots of truck traffic. This plus windows that sound insulate nothing. Horrible. It’s like being on the sidewalk… and when I reported how bad it was, I was reminded that my room right on the street…. Well, thanks.

The staff cannot seem to be able to email me an invoice that would include valet parking charges. This is the second time this has happened. I will stay at another hotel going forward if the invoice doesn't arrive soon.

Very noisy. The windows have a poor STC rating and you can hear people talking on the street from the 15th floor. Lots of bus traffic on surrounding streets and you must turn the tv up quite a bit to hear it. Also the entry door was undercut by 3/4" thus letting in air and hallway conversations. The building needs some upgrades to make it quieter. Staff was 5 star.

Hotel easy to find, check in easy, rooms spotless, bed super comfortable. Room did not have block out curtains though, and the street lights were shining into the room all night. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.
