Hidden Ridge Resort

The area was beautiful. The resort itself was clean. The rooms are pretty outdated and things like the ceiling is stained, crumpling and falling apart, carpet unraveled and pulling up. You don’t spend much time there so it worked for us but, for someone wants something modern and spotless, probably not your place.

Good

The staff is nice and friendly. The property is keeping in good and clean condition except the water pressure is no good so that sometimes the toilet flush is very low. We can not use the hot spring because very crowded.

Clean room

The property are condos that are rented out when they are not in use by their owners. We had a one bedroom with stone fireplace which was really nice. Wood and starter was supplied to use in the fireplace.However, the unit was showing its age needing updating throughout. It was well stocked with kitchen necessities (plates, glasses, pots, utensils) to use. The "village" of condos was very scenic. Ease of local buses to get Banff downtown was helpful.

The staff was lovely. The pool area was being jack hammered. Loud and dusty. Not relaxing at all. The room had carpet that was stained, smelly and gross. The glasses in the cupboard were not clean. The shower was unclean and mold in the grout. A heavy smoke smell from the fireplace which was not cleaned out. No air conditioner and the fan were dusty. The screen on the window near the door was broke.

Literally a struggle to park every day the entire 4 day stay.

Good

We did have a nice stay. Being on the Rosm route was super handy. We didn’t give it a 5 because it needs a refresh. Maybe upgrade the mattress. We had a great hike right by the property. Great three days

Hidden Ridge is hidden gem! Beautiful resort and a beautiful place, friendly staff, everything we could possibly need, plus a view that beats all.

Room had quite a bit of water damage in multiple places. Firewood wouldn’t stay lit in fireplace. Noise travels greatly through the floor above. Pool closes too early.

Have stayed here several times and always enjoyed our stay.

Dust on stair and corner

Pros: The beds were comfortable. There was a Roam Transit stop right outside the condo. You get picked up there but dropped off a 5-6 minute walk down the hill. Cons: Our first floor "deluxe" condo was far from it. It was cave-like and depressing it was so dark. The rug was beyond filthy and should have been replaced years ago it was so stained. The grout in the shower/bath tiles had long-time mold in it and is in desperate need of a thorough scrubbing. The corners and sides of the floors in the bathroom were dirty and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in many, many months. The bathroom itself is tiny with room to leave not much more than toothpaste and a toothbrush. Bring your own body/hand lotion because that in the unit may smell good, but it does nothing to moisturize your skin. Also, bring your own ground coffee because the packets provided are not flavorful at all. Lots of cons for the unit we stayed in, and we cannot speak of the other units there (but assume all of the first floor units are equally dark and depressing). We intentionally stayed away from the unit as often as we could to avoid the darkness. We were disappointed with our accommodations and would not recommend it to others based upon our personal experience. There are a lot of choices of places to stay in Banff and we wish we had chosen somewhere else. In fact, Canmore is a more reasonably priced location with great options and, should be return to this area, we would 100% stay in Canmore.

Nice property, pool, and hot tub are great. No restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The room we were given was old, outdated, and the carpet looked filthy. The blow dryer didn’t work properly.

Not nearly an excellent. Mold on tiles. Toilet issues. Outdated tv. Freezer filled with ice. Keycard issues. Would not stay again.

We enjoyed our stay!

A quick 10 min drive to Banff’s main drag. Good location close to shuttle stops. The lodge was not sparkling clean with so-so bedding but the pull out mattresses were pretty comfortable. Minimal kitchen tools were just like everything else in the lodge, old. Staff were friendly and service was super fast. Garbage and beds were tended to daily.

Nice views. Shuttle bus access is good. The units are a little dated; could use some updating. Pool and spa area is very relaxing. The grounds and landscaping are well maintained.
