Very well maintained hotel with a beautiful view of the bay! We selected this place because it is right across from the ferry terminal. It is a short drive to town and Walmart Sobies, super store, Macdonalds and Tim hortons!

I can’t say enough nice things about our stay here. We spent five nights, the rooms are clean and comfortable, great showers. The staff, Sarah Danielle and another woman (maybe Joyce) were exceptionally kind and helpful to us. The breakfast was simple, something new each day and always fresh and delicious. Easy commute to downtown by car and bus. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Loved the friendly staff the convenient breakfast and the super clean room with comfy beds only wish it had counter space in the bathroom and a full length mirror since we were there for a cheer competition but we were comfortable had a better sleep there then in a four or five star hotel.

I will never stay at this hotel again. The only reason we ended up here was because Halifax was experiencing major water events, and every other hotel in the city was completely booked up. It was a massive mistake. The Room & Safety Issues: Fire Hazard: The room setup is genuinely unsafe. There were far too many appliances and electronics crammed and plugged into a single power bar. Poor Ventilation & Odor: The room smelled incredibly musty. There is zero air circulation, forcing us to keep the window open. However, because we were on the second floor, smokers were constantly standing directly below our window talking and smoking, so our room just filled with secondhand smoke instead. Lack of Maintenance: The bathroom shower vent was caked in thick dust and clearly hasn't been cleaned in years. On top of that, the bathroom body products weren't refilled and were less than half empty when we checked in, and the hair dryer didn't even work. Thin Walls: It’s a wood-construction building, meaning you will hear absolutely everything. The guests above us created an unbearable amount of noise just by walking around. Review Bribery: Don't believe any good reviews you see for this place. They literally bribe guests with a $10 Tim Hortons gift card if they agree to leave a five-star review. It's completely dishonest. Unprofessional Staff: The daytime receptionists were shockingly unprofessional, openly swearing and cursing right in front of guests.

Breakfast is not much of an option, the coffee dispenser is old, and the handle is kind of broken and coffee drips over it from people's hands, and is very disgusting. It needs to be replaced. Toilet roll paper is broken, there is no blow-dryer and iron, the bathroom is outdated. Parking isn't enough, the date check-in, the staff are rude and not helpful. The building is outdated. In all this condition, it is overpriced.

This hotel is not really a hotel. it's more like a hostel to me. They use the regular door key. There is very limited parking. The elevator is very small. There is no hot breakfsat . The bathroom is very small, there is no hair dryer. The pictures on the listing is not even accurate. The rooms are outdated and small. There are no amenities. It's so over priced with what we got. Definately not returning. Book somewhere else!

BE CAREFUL! What I will say is that the woman working the desk that night when we checked in was lovely. That is a positive. However the issues started when we were asked for an additional deposit on top of what we had already paid online. During our check in process a very sketchy man and woman were trying to get into the building. SURPRISE they were our neighbours. Our door/room was on the outside of the building, and it barely locked. Queue the next seedy character that came to join the other 2. Again, SURPRISE he was the other neighbour. As my boyfriend was putting things away, he went to brush off the dresser as it looked like dust accumulated there and copious amounts of white powder were on his finger tips. About 20 mins later neighbours 1 and 2 were discussing drug use and yelling at each other. I think you know what the powder was. Pillows were awful, beds are stiff and the power surged ALL night while the neighbours had a party. Honestly, one of the worst nights sleep we have had. We left at 6am exhausted. Side note: the room photos seem to be AI decorated, the room received look NOTHING alike.

The pictures don’t tell the truth our room was crowded no table double bed to close to the wall loose electrical wires open in view of room the place is dated even with new renovations poor parking onsite checking in the person was rude and after checking our room out says if don't take till be charge for 2 nights anyway never again we’ll stay at this over priced hotel

Room was clean, bed comfortable - sure it's an older building (not as many outlets for plugging in devices, but certainly all we needed for an overnight stay). Continental breakfast was lacking in protein, but what we saved in hotel cost, one can go to a restaurant for a hot breakfast. Coffee was good! Parking was available.

It’s very out of date. The heaters were falling apart. They did not have industrial washers/dryers for laundry. Construction next door. Used a real key instead of key cards was good because didn’t have to worry about resetting but copies could have been made which was a bit uncomfortable. No ramp for strollers or wheelchairs. Breakfast only consisted of baked goods, yogurts, bagels, toast, coffee, juice and water and little fruit. The window in the room we were in didn’t have locks on them. The other missing a screen. No counter space in the washroom. Also the toilet paper roll holder was broken. Water pressure was weak and the tv was small. But the staff were really nice other than the fact that the younger foreigner worker was talking on her personal phone when asked about towels. I could have discussed something confidential with her about payment or something and they could have heard. Was quite unprofessional as someone who worked in the industry. Very loud and the washer and dryer were banging. Air conditioner did not work.

Just a good place to stay. A little hard to find; Google Maps live helped me out, make sure your smartphone’s battery is charged. Construction is nearby, just close the windows and you’ll sleep in just fine. Staff is limited but very friendly and very helpful. My room was missing TP; so I call front desk. House phone unplugged! I replug the phone, and call front desk and within minutes I had TP. They use fabric softener in their bedsheets and towels; if you are allergic or fragrance sensitive, let staff know ahead of time. Other than that, good place. Near a bus stop, drug store and other essentials.

It was like putting lipstick on a pig. May have looked good if it wasn't dirty. Up grades made did not hide the fact that it was old and falling apart. Heaters were broken and no parking. .
