Lovely overnight stay in a club double room. Free parking was big bonus. Check in was very professional and check out was just as super. Room was lovely with good facilities and a view over the Tyne. Ate in Quay 7, which was good, efficient service and with 20% discount on food/drink, made it very good. First time staying at the Copthorne, and if we are staying again in Newcastle, we will look to see what’s on offer. Lovely gesture from the manager to reach out and chat with my wife as I was checking out. It’s not often that happens ! THANK YOU !

Good location on the river and close to the city though there are many stairs to climb. Breakfast and evening meals were tasty and good value. Carpark access is via an external small lift.

Really well located large hotel- modern-ish, probably could do with some upgrading, but very comfortable, easy walking distance to everything else on the Quayside over looking the river and close- climbing a very steep hill - to the city centre. Big restaurant with lots on the menu, and a bar that overlooks the river- indeed and out. Remarkably good value- maybe we hit it at a good time, but we paid less than half of what the normal going rate was, so that was also a bonus. We also booked "free" inclusive parking in our room booking, so that saved us 2 x £15 a night in the attached Carpark, which has a lift down to the front door of hotel.

Large hotel, large comfortable rooms though decor is looking very much in need of a refresh. I stayed here 20+ years ago when it first opened and it’s not received the sort of refresh it deserves. Location is excellent and it’s good value for money.
