Leonardo Royal Hotel Oxford

Very spacious hotel. Nice restaurant.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They kindly offered us a later checkout without us even asking, and let us use the pool facilities after we had checked out, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast had a great selection with plenty of options. The only downside was the extra charge for parking, it would’ve been nice if parking was included for hotel guests.

I recently stayed at Leonardo Royal Oxford and overall, it was an okay experience. The communal areas and rooms were very clean and modern, with nice touches like newspapers, fruit, and drinking water available in the lobby. There was also a good coffee machine and nice selection of teas in the room, which was a bonus. However, there were a few issues. Some of the towels were quite old and worn, and the shower flooded the bathroom when used. The toilet got stuck flushing at one point, and the barrier at the car park exit didn’t work properly. Although the room was comfortable, it wasn’t entirely soundproof – I was woken up a couple of times during the night by slamming doors and noise from other guests. Despite these problems, the stay was generally pleasant thanks to the overall cleanliness and thoughtful amenities.

We have been regularly staying in your hotel for the last 3-4 years. Our stay has usually been pleasant. However, this particular stay was of a poor experience. Firstly, we were allocated a room (196) which was not accessible with a lift. My wife has a knee injury, and we tried to raise the issue with a member of staff (Brendan). However, Brendan was very unfriendly and unsympathetic about the situation, giving no apology and just casually offering to take our luggage upstairs himself. We were not at all informed about the lift situation prior to our arrival There were a lack of essential ingredients for tea in the room (no milk, sugar and stirrers), and when we asked for room service, they said that no one would be available to deliver the ingredients for up to 45 minutes, leading to my son having to go to reception to pick up the ingredients himself. We understand that you were busy on the night, but we found this to be unacceptable. We had paid for the room in full, and deserved full hospitality, however, it is unfortunate that this was not provided. We hope that this was a one-off experience, and that our experiences will be good in future and we don't have to complain again.

A pleasant enough hotel for an overnight stay ( think a step up on a travel lodge) friendly staff and clean though room a bit tired in places. Ideal for a quick overnight trip . I think charging the guests for parking is a bit cheap and the pool is tiny.

Great stay at Leonardo Royal Hotel. Comfortable room, and nice swimming pool (not to busy after 7pm - 30 min booking system in place). Staff very friendly and helpful. Perfect location for exploring Oxford and so useful having a bus stop right outside the hotel for a short ride into the city (worth getting the £10 group day ticket which allows up to 5 to travel). Only one minor point is that guests are charged £6/day to park. We would definitely return. Hotel was also good enough for Leeds UTD football players who were chilling in the reception area ahead of their game against Oxford utd😀
