Stopped over to break a long journey, great hotel. The staff made it, all really friendly and bent over backwards to help. The food was great, varied menu with some nice twists, and everything we ate was spot on. Great pool too. A little tired in some outside areas (bit of new render wouldn’t go a miss) but lovely grounds. Will definitely use again if passing through and need a refreshing stop.

Awful hotel. Dated, wasn’t sure what era it was meant to be in, rooms were boiling with only some kind of industrial loud fan to blow hot air at you and the whole place had a scabby vibe about it. It’s only redeeming feature was the garden area, nice open space, shame there’s no seating.

Completely adequate room for our needs as we were visiting Leeds Castle for a concert. Room was clean although very hot as we are mid heat wave at time of writing…no air con but fans provided to take the edge off. Staff were pretty friendly, decent buffet breakfast with good ‘full English’ offering. Well stocked, reasonably priced bar.

Room very hot and no Aircon and windows only open about two inches. A hot night on 11/12 July upon opening the wardrobe in the morning we found a Fan. Why the heck on heatwave three had no one in this hotel had the brains to think of printing out some small notices for the side table

For a higher end hotel it was poor, staff were great. No air con in the heatwave which made the whole trip uncomfortable

No aircon and window locks make the windows v difficult to get any air in the room. My son’s toilet didn’t work And was already ‘full’ when they arrived and as the hotel was full, they couldn’t change rooms! The breakfast buffet did not look v fresh but the pastries were good . Overall v tired hotel :(

Definitely not a 4 star more like a 3! Hotel is very tired and needs an update in all areas . On the positive the breakfast was good.

Helpful staff and a relatively clean hotel cannot makeup for no air conditioning in rooms, which were stiflingly hot during our stay during a UK summer heat wave. Unfortunately the small plug in fan and safety-secured windows did little to alleviate the stuffiness and heat in the rooms. Overall it’s a lovely location with relaxing grounds but the aging decor in common areas, corridors and rooms is in desperate need of an update, even in the chosen eclectic style.

My daughter and granddaughter ( under 2) and I were staying . It was clear there was a large event going on we knew nothing about . Other hotels have advised in advance of the possibility of noise. We were given a first floor room above the restaurant area where there appeared to be a disco. We kept awake by a booming bass until gone 1am and we had to get up early and drive 200 back to Somerset. The cot had a thin piece of plastic to cover the ridges in the bottom of the cot , so was unusable especially on a hot night when the room had one small fan and no air conditioning. There was a kettle but only enough tea, milk etc for one drink. The staff seemed lacking in any customer care training. I have emailed customer services but failed to get a response to date. Don’t stay there unless you are desperate.

The hotel stands in its own grounds just of the M20 junction. It is large hotel with three floors and long corridors. Checkin went ok and we were allocated a third floor room overlooking the old tennis court (now used a truck park). The room is a little dated but functional. The shower worked ok inside a bathtub. There is no Aircon however as we stayed in a cool period, the windows gave adequate ventilation. The beds were firm and comfortable. The resturant provides a good Breakfast for £12 /head with a bar next door. We attended an event in the adjacent function room which was well organised. The leasure facilites are good with a large swiming pool, hot tub and steam room. Overall I would rate this mid 3 star hotel.

Unfortunately, there was an event in the nearby conference centre which meant that a large crowd gathered, who had been drinking, the inevitable fighting commenced and the police had to attend and there was damage to some of the guests’ cars. It appears that this is not the first time this has happened when these sorts of groups book out the conference centre. On top of this, there was a mix up with the room, despite the fact that I had a face-face conversation with a member of staff to make sure the correct room was allocated before the check-in date. The hotel itself is clean but does need updating as it is looking tired. The staff themselves were very helpful and tried to help however they could when our problems arose. At this point in time, I would not recommend a stay mainly due to the problems caused by guests the conference centre, which the hotel itself has no control over.
